Edit: it’s about the accusations against him and other photographers in the Boston Globe article from the 16th of February. Since he used Taylor’s pic I thought she may have made an accusation but it is unclear in the article.

both stopped following each other, it seems to me that she should have said something but I can not find a shit yet :shocking:

I was reading the news on the official VS thread and when I checked on Bellemere's profile the picture was already gone :o

luckily I grabbed a shitty screengrab with my IPad. I knew he would delete it. Still don’t know why he specifically used Taylor though.

Taylor, Ed, & VS were tagged on the photo.

I was about to say something similar to what that IG post Cazerty posted says. When I first saw it I thought that maybe Taylor chose to speak about whatever may have happened but wanted to remain anonymous. I've heard many models have done the same, for various reasons. I respect both that way of doing things and the women/men posting about it on social media. And if that was Bellemere's way to get back at her...

I hope this doesn't affect Taylor in any way.

I like David's photos, so this is disappointing, but anyone who watched the "Nude" documentary on Starz could have seen this coming. The way he uses his hands to pose models is incredibly compelling, but he's shooting young women trying to break into the industry alone in his personal flat. There's a scene where a girl shows up and David tells her it's a nude shoot, and she doesn't know, so she calls her agent to let them know. She eventually says it's fine, but she's already in the apartment in a pressured situation. There's another subplot where David contacts an underage girl and tells her to reach back out once she's old enough to shoot, and Steve Shaw says he doesn't understand their "relationship". Steve even makes some ominous comments at the end of that film about how David is heading down a problematic path (in general, not just with that girl).

Steve Shaw mentioned something more about David's behavior in the documentary? I tried to understand a bit since my speech is Hispanic but I thought I saw something uncomfortable for Steve on the set.

Steve and David had several creative differences, one being that David wanted to shoot more erotic nudity, and another being that David wanted to be able to hand pick the girls because he wanted to have a personal connection to each. There's a pretty uncomfortable scene where the young girl David has been courting through Instagram shows up to audition and Steve is visibly annoyed. She spends the audition flirting with David and they end up not putting her in the calendar, against David's wishes. At the end of the documentary Steve talks about how David is going down a path he's seen other photographers go down which leads to issues that can end your career.

There was always something that I found very weird and uncomfortable in Bellemere, although I do have to admit that I always enjoyed his photographic style. Sadly, none of these accusations are very surprising, as the photo shoots run by Bellemere and similarly malevolent photographers, stylists, and agents, are perfect breeding grounds for exploitation, as the combination of powerful people in the industry and naive youthful models, can lead quite easily to sinister outcomes. It is awful to see respected men in the industry take advantage of their position of power in order to commit disgusting and vile acts, coercing and manipulating young men and women into doing things they don't wish to do, and the models do little in protest for fear of losing their opportunity at achieving their aspirations. It is also disheartening to know that these men won't face any lawful prosecution for their acts committed against minor (not legal age) or not consenting models, as not enough evidence is typically presented in these cases. In these situations the responsibility to seek justice is placed on us, the consumers and fan base, to support victims of sexual harassment in the industry, as well as decry and protest the use of known predators by companies. It is also unequivocally important to support long term implementations of solutions that can prevent these heinous crimes from occurring in the future.

Taylor looking amazing in that photoshoot--based on these long-distance shots. Hoping that the finished products are as beautiful as these are promising.

Why not just start an I stand with bell*mere hashtag? He also posted 2 photos of Stella by DB. As far as I know he still works with VS (correct me if I’m wrong please!) which raised a flag for me?? As it is in any case. So sickening to see people stand with the accused because “they’ve known them for a long time”, or “their work is great”. Everyone who defends the accused should be gotten rid of too, if you ask me.

(Do I want to do this? Fuck it let’s do this)

To be fair.

accused doesn’t always equal guilty.

I agree with that. I should have added that,  but with the multitude of different models accusing... it doesn’t seem anywhere near likely that he’s innocent.
