Ack
No he didn't. Not even close. He was just playing safe, not even going for a KO. It was a good technical display of both fighters though..
k_dub
In a terrible tragedy, former world champion Diego "Chico" Corrales was killed Monday night in a motorcycle accident in Las Vegas. Corrales was apparently riding at a high rate of speed and collided with another vehicle. The accident happened just before 10PM local time. Corrales (40-5, 33 KOs) was just 29 years old. He was involved in what many call the greatest fight ever, when he knocked out Jose Luis Castillo in May 2005. More details to come. http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2/headl...VlVeUfTIMF.html R.I.P. Diego Corrales.

tuhreese
Anyone here think that boxing's pretty much dying?
Ack
Boxing is dead! MMA is taking over!
tuhreese
(Y) I feel like MMA actually became more popular BECAUSE boxing was putting on such crap, expecting people to keep buying their PPVs.
Ack
I strongly strongly disagree. Boxing is a beautiful sport, but very limited. Mixed Martial Arts is getting more and more popular because it's more complete than any other fightsport out there. It combines anything with everything, that's why people are attracted to it. Boxers and boxingpromoters are getting very defensive and are trying to bash MMA because they know this is happening and they know the reason. k_dub
In case nobody knows, Ricky Hatton vs. Jose Luis Castillo tonight on HBO 7PM Pacific Time. Junior Welterweight bout. I got Castillo winning by 8th or 9th round TKO. Hatton is nothing but a lame fighter who looks good because of the nameless opposition he has faced over his career. Sure, he looked good against Kostya Tszyu, but that was a old Tszyu. His fans in England were talking big shit when he won that fight, and thought he could take out Floyd Mayweather Jr. :atoobie: <_< Castillo, on the other hand, fought Castillo twice, and many thought that he won the 1st fight. He was also involved in a great fight with Diego Corrales, and probably should have won that fight. Diego was able to pull out a miracle upset. Fans of Hatton in England, get ready to jump off the Thames bridge once Hatton [size="6"]HITS THE CANVAS!!! He will be talking like OZZY OSBORNE after Castillo is done with him!!!
