June 7, 20159 yr I'm in love with that bottle. I hope it smells good! I've been collecting the bottles lately.
June 7, 20159 yr Does anyone have the article with Jac Jagaciak talking about being transphobia? o.o I'm praying to god the article isn't true.
June 7, 20159 yr There have been multiple people on different fashion blogs and tumblr talking about either tweet(s) Jac made that rubbed the transgender friendly community the wrong way, or there was perhaps an article written about Jac and the issue at hand. I have no idea what's going on, but apparently she upset a lot of people with something she said. I'm more curious if people are blowing things out of proportion, which is possible being this is the internet, of if she truly said or did something offensive.
June 7, 20159 yr My friend sent me the tweet. Her disdain for Caitlyn's media attention and refusal to use her name are both extremely iffy to me. Not that impressed.
June 7, 20159 yr ^ I agree. Refusal of her name isn't okay and it's a sign of disrespect https://twitter.com/thefatjew Sure....
June 7, 20159 yr Bruce Jenner, according to wiki (lol) lived an interesting & unusually diverse life but also one driven by intense hunger for fame and success.
June 7, 20159 yr Her name is Caitlyn, not Bruce. The Fat Jewish is this guy who managed to make a career out of posting stolen "funny" images on Instagram. He's got 4.5 mil followers, and invitation to fashion events apparently. I want that career.
June 7, 20159 yr Off the bat, it may have to do with the "integrity" and realism of this "Caitlyn" persona- based on the operator's past life as a glory hound.
June 7, 20159 yr I don't know, I'm reading it as "Bruce Jenner is a world hero" in the sense that she actually meant it (flying over the name thing for a moment here) and in the meantime people wanted to take pics with a guy who made a name of himself stealing pics. I may be wrong tho, but I don't think she would purposely start a fight over a delicate subject. As Pretty said this is the internet, every single thing is always blown out of proportion every single time.
June 7, 20159 yr ^^Didnt sound so malicious tbh. Even though its understandable if some folks made a big deal out of it I'm just guessing here but maybe Jac used to be fan of the show and couldnt come to terms with the demise/transformation of Bruce Jenner
June 7, 20159 yr I'm siding with Monika on this to some good degree. I the same don't have any issues with Caitlyn's decision and more power to her for finally being in a place where she feels like herself. But the amount of media attention, stories, and recognition on the whole Bruce >>> Caitlyn transformation is quite tiresome and worthy of narcissism to the extreme end. The fact she has a show coming up really says a lot about the intense hunger for fame and success as Cult mentioned. I'm almost positive Jac is no "transphobia" but sometimes you have to call it for what it is and that's "fame whoring" for the sake of $$$ and not the cause alone. Although for Jac's own sake, I would use the proper pro-noun and name because that does come off as disrespectful.
June 7, 20159 yr Well, some people need more time to get used to the new name of a person and learn to use it all the time...
June 7, 20159 yr That's just blatant and disgusting transphobia.Sigh. God forbid someone shares a less popular opinion.
June 7, 20159 yr That's just blatant and disgusting transphobia.Sigh. God forbid someone shares a less popular opinion. It being popular or not doesn't change that fact that the opinion is transphobic. If someone had said "I hate gays" the comment is homophobic. God forbid we actually respect someone's life choices. The horror!!!!!
June 7, 20159 yr Tbh the only wrong thing I see is the misgendering in Jac's original tweet. Other than that I read it as "who would've thought these people with be in these situations" not "I can't believe the whole world is praising Caitlyn for being trans."
June 7, 20159 yr People is stupid and likes to fight about stupid things, that's all. I mean, I'm so used to call her "Bruce" that I also forget to call her Caitlyn sometimes, I mean, is not a crime and I'm not transphobic for that. Jac even liked the cover in Instagram the day it came out.
