Big Apple loves our Miranda -

Former Brisbane model Miranda Kerr is the toast of the New York fashion scene. Since moving to the Big Apple two years ago, the former All Hallows student (!! that's where i go to school) has landed contracts with Maybelline cosmetics, Victoria's Secret lingerie and her latest assignment, starring in an international music video with two of the world's biggest hip hop artists. In the just released video for Number One, a collaboration between Grammy-winning producer Pharrell Williams and hip hop star Kanye West, Kerr has a featured role looking almost unrecognisable from her brisbane days. Her New York agent, Mia Lolordo of Next Models, said Miranda beat thousands of models from the coveted spot in the video, filmed by acclaimed director Hype Williams. 'Landing a job like that gets her name out in the threatrical world which is great if she wants to pursue a career in acting' she said. Kerr, 23, has bought a new york apartment and is a regular on the red carpet at star studded events. But her brisbane based mum, Therese Kerr, said success had not affected her daughter. "She is my angel, we talk on the phone every day" she said.

When a friend and I watched that music video, we started a fight about if it was Miranda or not. It was hard for me to believe at first, but I accepted the fact that it was her.
