October 24, 20168 yr Quote On fellow Victoria's Secret Angels Behati & Candice While Behati Prinsloo and Candice Swanepoel are spending precious time with their little angels at home, Josephine Skriver has been lucky enough to 'meet' the newest additions to the Victoria's Secret family. "I have FaceTimed and we have texted, the Angel told HELLO! at the 13th annual Keep A Child Alive Black Ball in New York City on Wednesday. "They are still doing mommy and me time, and I just want them to cherish that moment for so long because that is something that you never get back." Behati and her husband Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine welcomed their baby girl Dusty Rose Levine on September 21, and Candice gave birth to her and fiancé Hermann Nicoli's son Anacã, on October 5. While both models have been giving glimpses into their new mommy life on social media, Josephine added, "I'll just let them stay in their bubble, because they just came out." Josephine, on the other hand, has been busy hitting the weights and getting ready to strut her stuff in this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. “I am definitely preparing,” the 23-year-old said. “Being an Angel, you have to be on 24/7, but for the show we definitely amp it up so much more. I want to enhance the curves that I’ve been trying to get so I do a lot of weight lifting and that really works wonders on me.” The Danish beauty has also been busy working to encourage her fans to fight for causes near and dear to them. "I think with social media and the power and the platform that you get and being an Angel, hopefully I can inspire the younger generation to do better than what we are able to do,” she said during the event put on by Alicia Keys to end the AIDS crisis and celebrate activism. “I just want to help the world, and I just want to encourage people to help each other. I think that’s a really positive message to put out there.” http://us.hellomagazine.com/celebrities/12016102018208/josephine-skriver-vs-angels-behati-prinsloo-candice-swanepoel-mom-update/ Quote Being a model isn’t all it’s cracked up to be Josephine Skriver may be a Victoria’s Secret model, but she says the job does not come with swag. “I do not get free stuff… People lend stuff to me, but I have to give it right back. I still have to pay for things. Obviously there are a few perks here and there, but I am just as normal as anyone when I go to the supermarket,” she told us. She added of her job, “Thank God for makeup… Being a woman, you will always have hormones messing up everything. So if I have a huge pimple before a photo shoot, makeup is key.” http://nypost.com/ss-post/being-a-model-isnt-all-its-cracked-up-to-be/
October 24, 20168 yr Josephine Skriver x Illesteva Photo: Russell James Quote Your New Favorite Sunglasses Were Designed by a Supermodel Josephine Skriver is no stranger to raising awareness for causes she cares deeply about. As the child of gay parents, Skriver has made her support for several LGBT charities known, and is something of a Pride mainstay: Just last year, she walked in the New York Pride parade on behalf of the Family Equality Council. Now the model is combining charity with her off-duty accessory of choice: Skriver has teamed up with Illesteva to release a pair of limited-edition sunglasses to benefit Keep a Child Alive (KCA), which brings treatment to children with HIV/AIDS in developing countries. “Being born in a family who has always been nontraditional and kind of unconventional, I know about the stigma that everyone always throws at you, so it really hit me that the world isn’t talking about it anymore and that they treat kids with AIDS so differently,” says Skriver. “I needed to be a part of it right then and there.” Collaborating with Illesteva was a natural fit for Skriver: The model is a sunglasses junkie, and considers them a staple in her off-duty look. She cites Kate Moss as her ultimate shades inspiration. “If you add [sunglasses] to any outfit, it elevates the look a little bit,” she says. “You say a lot with shapes and colors, according to your mood or what you like, or make a contrast.” For Skriver, her collaboration with Illesteva is a rounded riff on her favorite cat-eye frame. “I wanted to elevate them a little with a cat-eye version,” she says, and the creamy hue lends the sunnies an inter-seasonality: “We are going into fall, so I wanted it to have a feeling of spring and summer.” The only thing that Skriver hasn’t come up with yet? A way to hold on to her prized pairs. “Sunglasses are the one thing that I lose the most, and I cry all the time! You leave them in the bag and they come out broken, or you forget them somewhere,” she says. And those with similarly sloppy tendencies should be careful: Lose her latest effort, and you’re likely out of luck. Says Skriver: “If you lose one of those, it is really hard to get because it is such a limited collection. It’s just like, ‘Don’t lose them!’ ” Josephine Skriver x Illesteva sunglasses, $240illesteva.com vogue.com
