how do you /swedes prepare fish?

Usually I cook my salmon (favorite) in the oven. I've tried frying it the pan too, but I prefer oven. In my opinion smoking is the best way to cook fish.

I pan sear salmon with skin, very oily.  Then use the oil for the vegetables.

Sounds good. Now I really want salmon, veggies and sweet potatoes, maybe later this week!

I made this couple days back. From start to finish - 20 mins, super simple.

Ingredients:

- Ground beef

- Jasmine rice

- Asian style veggies

- Garlic

Seasoning:

- Salt

- Pepper

- Brown sugar

are there few  asian people in your area?

My sunday dinner was stir fried green peppers, green onions, red onions, thinly sliced pork belly, and potato slices

I bought 3 gallons of Jack & Jill ice cream , green tea

My review:  This is a budget brand that I would normally never buy however the 3 gallons of Green tea ice cream was at such a good price that I couldn't resist.  This is sold (wholesale) to restaurants/ice cream shops at ~ $30 but I got it at only $21.

The ice cream itself had decent texture and was overall acceptable, comparable to a turkey hill or breyers'.  The green tea flavor was light- too light (but this was expected).  It had the milkiest taste of all green tea ice creams I've had but the milkiness wasn't overpowering the green tea flavor.  It was not very sweet.  Overall, it is a passable ice cream and a great value for the price.  I would re-label it "light green tea ice cream".

My favorites are simple, a mix of Romain and leafy greens. Adding in whatever sounds good to me at the time.

On the sweet side, fruit salad with, fruit.

I ate simply for my birthday:

Chasu ( Braised Pork Belly) and a Tsuyudaku  (fatty beef) with red onions over Japanese white rice & salad.

My birthday cake was a mocha sheet cake from a Filipino bakery.  It looked almost exactly like this:

Interesting that due to COVID, the letters couldn't be applied by the baker so they sent us the buttercream icing pens.

The cake was good, too.  More of a lighter type of cake, not very sweet.   an asian style cake with a sponge like texture and mocha cream inside and out.  Edges were done with coffee buttercream icing.

They tend to favor sponge like cakes, less sweet and rich
