It was actually a pretty good movie though...one of the scariest movies I've seen in a while! As for it being banal I found it to be very original. I had seen demon, possession films before, but this definitely had its own style. Have you seen the original Evil Dead? the original was pretty campy, and actually kinda funny, unlike this remake that was just pretty much straight up scary Pretty good for being a gore fest. The tragedy of the situation is just LIFE.
