Django Unchained helps Icelander receive double arm transplant

24 January, 2013 | By Ian Sandwell

Quentin Tarantino and his cast have offered up a signed clapperboard for auction, in order to help Gudmunder Felix undergo a double arm donor transplant.

In what is probably the most heartwarming story of this year’s awards season, Quentin Tarantino and the cast of Django Unchained have offered support to Icelander Gudmundur Felix in his fundraising to pay for a double donor arm transplant.

Felix will move to Lyon, France in March to await a double donor arm transplant (the first of its kind) and as soon as Tarantino and the cast heard of Felix’s fundraising attempts, they signed a clapperboard from the film to offer up for auction.

A documentary crew are following Felix on his journey. New Hands is set for release in 2014 and will be produced by Ljosop Iceland and directed by Markell, with worldwide distribution handled by Spier Films.

The clapperboard is now up for auction here, and the auction closes on Jan 26.

In regards to DDL's speech, another part I loved was when he mentioned how it was ironic that an actor killed Lincoln, and it's only fitting that every now and then an actor brings him back to life... I thought that was brilliantly said

Tks for sharing your thoughts on Django :)

Does this now mean that everyone has seen the film, and we can discuss it ??

As there is something you said in your review that I, also felt upon my first viewing.

But now that I've seen it a 2nd time and I've thought about it more, I've changed my reason as to why I felt that way.

Hey sweeties! :flower:

I think that now everyone has seen the movie right? So I've got a little question for you?

It's just me or someone here found a bit odd the way that his character Calvin Candie talks to his slave after that Mandingo Fight? It gave me the impression of a homosexual connotation in that scene. He sort of looked at the slave in a different way...I may be crazy but that's what I thought. :hehe: You know the scene I'm talking about right?

Tks for more pics and vids girls!! :flower:
