Yesterday the hyper party Farofa, that happens every Sunday in New York with Brazilian music, was visited by big celebrities Rohan Marley, Marc Anthony and Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the top famous people that uses to go to this event. Farofa takes place in New York for almost 3 years and it is commanded by Brazilian Bruno Gusmão and american partners.

Allen was upfront about his infatuation with Johansson: “It’s very hard to be extra witty around a sexually overwhelming, beautiful young woman who is wittier than you are,” he said while promoting “Match Point.”

But the friendship is apparently based more on shared eccentricities, like hypochondria, than flirtation, as she recently revealed: “The only reason why Woody and I are still friends is because I’ve diagnosed all kinds of his skin tags, lesions, ailments.”

The malady-obsessed duo parted ways after “Vicky Cristina” because, as the director recently told Vanity Fair, “I have every intention of working with her again, but I just didn’t think it was a great idea for either one of us to work together too intensely, picture after picture. I didn’t want her to be burdened by, ‘Oh, she’s in all the Woody Allen pictures, it’s so predictable,’ and she’s my new muse, and all that silliness.”

Which begs the question: Who is the new muse?

Or, some ask, why doesn’t he revisit the old ones — Keaton, for example, with whom he is still close friends. (Farrow, not so much.)

As he has explained, “Nobody wants to see two septuagenarians get it on. They want to see Leonardo DiCaprio chasing after Scarlett Johansson. They don’t want me flirting with Diane Keaton.”

The self-effacing Allen also admits he’s not pleased about this development, which may explain why he continues to entertain Hollywood beauties — at least they’ll swoon over his genius off-screen.

There is life after The Walking Dead. Jon Bernthal, whose demise from AMC’s The Walking Dead was one of the most shocking things in recent episodic TV history, has just joined the cast of the Martin Scorsese-directed The Wolf Of Wall Street. He’ll play a drug dealer and money launderer, in the film that start Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. The film’s being financed by Red Granite and produced by Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland, DiCaprio, Scorsese and Emma Koskoff, and Alexandra Milchan. Terence Winter wrote the script about the rise and fall of Wall Streeter Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio). Irwin Winkler and Georgia Kacandes are executive producers. The film shoots in New York in August.

Ellen Lewis (WofNY) is the best casting director out there. I bet this Scorsese/DiCaprio project is going to be very strong contention duriong award season.

Don't know if you saw this yet on LDC's girlfriend, but it looks like his philothropic love is catching on. Erin is quite articulate too. I have to admit, I read the whole thing through, it's quite interesting. Gives you some insight into the person, and she wrote it herself. I'm impressed. Great choice, Leo!
