September 13, 20231 yr Wow. I did not expect that trailer to hit me so hard. I guess because it showed more than any of the other ones, it was hard for me to watch. Wasn’t expecting that. I know these people. I live in this community. I provide trauma therapy to the people in this community. This kind of indigenous treatment still happens everyday here. My close coworker’s mother and niece were murdered a couple of years ago when their house was purposefully set on fire during the middle of the night. Apparently, her mother, a Cherokee woman, angered the wrong people. The anniversary of that murder just passed and the investigation is still pending. The house exploding in the trailer hit too close to home. Hell, it is home. I will probably have to watch the movie in stages. I don’t think I’m going to be able to watch it in one sitting. Sorry. I just was not expecting to have this reaction to it.
