Frederick Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 My dad has always wanted Joey Barton in the England team. Then again, he was really pleased when we signed Sasa Curcic!**So was I! Quote
red_ed Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 well Barton couldn't do any worse than Gerrard or Fat Frank Then again England do have Barry, Carrick and Hargreaves there... Quote
irenistiQ Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Oh, and the woman in your avi is sleeping with the president of France... diane kruger? Quote
Frederick Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Diane looks a little Carla Bruni-esque in my avatar, it is true. Anyway, last night some German dude came on for Chelsea that I'd never heard of, Michael Ballsack I think his name was. Who the hell is he? Just kidding Mike, I still like you! Quote
red_ed Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Damn Chelsea's second string is impressive And that's another loss to a top 4 team oh and I forgot to mention last week, Valencia 0-3 Barcelona Congrats Herve, Barca tore us apart with their passing and absolute domination (Y) Koeman gives me the shits more than Ranieri :anger: Now that is saying something Quote
Frederick Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 PSV was Koeman's level. But he's found out the hard way. Quote
SympathysSilhouette Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Actually, he was lucky enough to inherit the side (or at least, most of it) that Guus Hiddink built at PSV.He was alright as long as he didn't start to tinker too much with the squad and the formation. After that, it quickly fell apart as well. They're merely a shadow of their former selves at this point. Quote
red_ed Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I hated him since Benfica beat Liverpool. He defends and counters everywhere he goes. He has no idea about being a manager :anger: Quote

They still won the championship (albeit in a far less convincing manner than under Hiddink) and knocked Arsenal out of the Champions League. I think PSV were/are in a transitional phase regardless of Koeman, though it's perhaps his own error for not sorting that out. Quote

SympathysSilhouette Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Celtic v Barcelona Lyon v Man Utd Schalke 04 v FC Porto Liverpool v Inter Milan Roma v Real Madrid Arsenal v AC Milan Olympiacos v Chelsea Fenerbahce v FC Sevilla Bolded teams to advance. I guess you could say I chose the (clear) underdogs in two ties (with Lyon and Arsenal). But I honestly believe both clubs can get a result AND I despise the teams they are playing. Quote
