chiva474128 Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 The Mets totally annihilated the D-Backs this weekend. I must admit, with that emphatic 4-game sweep, the Mets are the best team in NL -- hands down. The Phillies are 6 1/2 games behind while the Braves are 10 out in the NL East. It's time for the Mets to finally put these teams to bed. Quote
OriginalSin Posted June 12, 2006 Posted June 12, 2006 And while the Mets completed that 4 game sweep, the Yankees dropped 4 games in a row. Thankfully I missed Saturday's and Sunday's games Quote
chiva474128 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 The Mets are starting to bury Braves who are now 11 games back in the NL East. David Wright made a beautiful diving play to save at least one run in the 8th inning against the Phills. He also the leading vote getter for all NL third baseman in the All-Star balloting. Quote
chiva474128 Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Yep, 11 games. I've never seen them play this poorly -- and I'm loving every second of it. Quote
chiva474128 Posted June 21, 2006 Posted June 21, 2006 Jose Reyes is leading all NL shortstops in All Star voting. How the heck did that happen? Quote

TantrumXSpeed Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Why can't the Phillies win just one, ONE game against those darn Sox!!! <_< Those Bean boys ARGh. Quote
OriginalSin Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 The Red Sox swept the Mets. Why is life so cruel? :| Quote
chiva474128 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Red Sox to Mets = Me = Those three games were about the worst set of games that they have played this season. They looked overmatched and played terribly. Now we head into the Subway Series on a downer. Quote
chiva474128 Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Not quite '86. Granted, this was a big series but not that big. It was more of a measuring stick for the Mets. Quote
Rhett Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 actually, 86 was when the Mets had their longest winning streak, I think. not that I'm a Mets fan, I just don't like the Sox. and not like I have a team anyway Quote
