I guess that the bright side is that this study was debunked by competent scientists. So, there are still good people out there who can act. Of course, none of them are in the WHO, but that's another story The other good news is that they are really starting to make progress on the cross-immunity research that brings more and more evidence that having been infected by a coronavirus (not necessarily Covid 19) may mean that you have antibodies that works against several types of coronaviruses. If all this is verified by further research (it's just scientific speculation for now), it's possible that a huge part of the population is immune to Covid 19. PS: since you're bilingual now, you should listen to Prof. Didier Raoult!

Yep, and like everything, it's crazy. I hate the fact that it reaches hard sciences. They used to be better shielded than social sciences (that are really permeable to ideologies)

^ @Stromboli1 @Matt! @Prettyphile @jkjk Have you seen this story about the study against hydroxychloroquine and the dubious data they used? Here's a link in English: article. Three out of four authors withdrew from this study (and if you recall, the WHO used this study as a reference). A dubious company provided highly suspicious raw data. It's terrible. I'm really angry at how such fallacy managed to pass the review system of The Lancet (not to mention how the WHO were fools once again). Also, as many newspapers say (and they're right, for once), politicization of subjects like hydroxychloroquine lead to terrible results.
@SuperG.Girl The plot thickens. Three out of four authors withdrew from the Lancet study that critcized hydroxychloroquine (it's the study on which the WHO drew), because they have high doubts on the raw data (that came from a company called Surgisphere). Once again, the WHO was wrong. The study that they blindly followed is proven wrong by esteemed experts (like Dider Raoult) and by 3/4 of its authors. I'm waiting for the apologies of the WHO (also, their apologies on Taiwan).
When reasonable people stay silent in front of extremists, that's when extremism wins.
