  3. I'm glad that Le Matt likes her She's definitely a cutie. Great smile, friendly freckles everywhere and... she likes to dance on weird Russian music, which is unbeatable
  4. Candace is one of the few rational minds in social media. I like her because she has critical thinking and she's never afraid to say what she thinks.
  5. I detest gratuitous violence, whether it's from a policeman choking a man on the ground, or, from robbers/rioters. You'd think that the mainstream media would say that, but apparently not...
  6. I have an advice for celebs. If they actually know how to read, here's something they should consider reading: https://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/mlkihaveadream.htm Especially this sentence: "Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred" and this one: "We must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence".

  8. Funny how overprivileged citizens like Timberlake speak of freedom from their multi-million dollar mansions. These people are against violence in some cases, but promote violence when it fits their narrative (which is easy to say when you live in affluent areas). There are several cognitive dissonances that are hard to understand. Have they heard of something called "reason" which allows to be both against police violence and against looting/robbing? Too many celebs have the IQ of an oyster.
  9. How about this moron? https://www.theverge.com/2020/5/31/21276125/jake-paul-arizona-statement-looting-filming-instagram-twitter-protests-backlash
  10. Hi, sure, but I can't do that myself. Only admins can do it. @Clauds or @PinkCouture will help you.

  13. Russian leaders (particularly Stalin) were also very good at leveraging their political assets. There's a famous historian here that said that Stalin was the most efficient leader of the 20th century, in terms of international relations (he was awful with his population and his economics were a nightmare, but he was a negotiation genius).
  14. Yes, the USSR was very good at manipulating statistics. Very few people knew the economical reality in the USSR, including the citizens themselves. They were told that life was a nightmare outside the USSR. "Foreign observers" were carefully monitored and were only allowed to see showcases (also, many foreign observers were supporters of the communist party, so they saw what they wanted to see).
  15. Russian bots are a chimera that CNN reporters use to fuel the nightmares that Hollywood planted in their brains with 60s-90s movies. The CCP has the world's factories and they hold the global financial system by the balls. All the disgusting oligopolies (like Disney, NBA, etc.) want the CCP's money (Disney is ready to betray all their PC principles for the Chinese market). The CCP controls its social media, but I don't see evidence that the CCP use bots on Western social media.
  16. The Russian space team in the 50s-70s was much more efficient than the US team. They had less funds (really less) and yet with the lead of Korolev (a guy that was nearly beaten to death in the Gulag... and lost half of his teeth - thanks Communism - before leading the team) they managed to put together a really good program. Their approach had bigger cojones They didn't do tests, they just launched the rockets and then they corrected the mistakes. Their engines were the best in the world for decades. With a little more money, Russia would've been to the Moon.
  17. @Matt! Have you met Alexandra? She's the Russian cousin of Madeline. I'm sure she has an orange spacesuit and a strong will to go watch the stars at night and make them glow brighter...
  18. Yes (and also Myrtille ) No.
  19. Punctuation is the biggest victim of social media... I understand Twitter restricts the number of signs, but punctuation was invented for a reason! I was already hopeless for the poor semicolon (first victim of this tragedy - nobody seems to know about it, and if you try to use it, people think it's a smiley ), but then the comma was put into a coma (ahem, I had to make it ) and now the dot...................................
  20. @Matt! "Le Matt" actually reminds me of this guy (he was nicknamed "Le Mat") https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacky_Imbert
  21. Well, Le Reddit seems to have plenty of interesting things (I don't like the design of their website though). Thanks for the link, Le Matt.
  22. @Matt! I fortuitously discovered this Swedish guy on the Internet. It's not groundbreaking, but I like it. Then I got a link to another Swedish bloke, same type of music. It's quite good for what I'm doing right now.
  23. It's mostly a chimera. I remember when the Last Jedi came out, people said that anyone who disliked the movie was a Russian bot. Then a guy made a study, I read it and it was a big joke with many methodological bias. If it were physics, a paper as weak as this one would've never been through the reviews. Social sciences are plagued with bias like this (and the media feed on them). The grievance studies affair showed how big the bias is: https://qz.com/1422626/a-hoax-that-targeted-feminist-scholarship-accidentally-revealed-a-bigger-problem-with-academia/
