She was cute. The USSR were famous for employing many pretty women as spies. They were ruthless, but some men can be fooled by pretty faces. When you've known several beautiful women, you know that beauty and kindness are not correlated... They're not anti-correlated either, BTW. Anyway.... I guess the CCP copied some of the USSR methods.

The USA is a banana republic where feudal lords (like Disney) can do whatever they want. I don't want to care about US politics. I really don't. But they keep coming back to me, when trash companies like Disney use them to fire Gina for fake reasons, with a fake trial and fake arguments. Disney (the "virtuous" company that supports the authorities that put Uyghurs in camps) don't even need to show evidence, because journalists do their bidding and people don't check what Gina actually said. Pedro Pascal, James Gunn and a whole lot of other Disney employees did far worse, but they keep their job. I watch this, from the other side of the Atlantic, and I am truly disgusted.

Who are these two? They look like they come from a US sitcom in the 90s. (they just need dental braces for the cliché to be complete... )

Fighters like Dana White have spine. Because their "fear meter" is lower than the averge journalists', they don't follow the same rules. Their rules is justice, the rules for the fearsome journalist is "strong with the weak and weak with the strong". Boxing was called the "Noble art" in France. There was a code of honor. Journalists who backstabbed Gina and basically lied about her posts are terrible. People should read Gina's posts instead of the articles written by Disney's hired guns. It takes less time and you can make up your own opinion on her actual words.

Wow, I can't believe Disney re-hired James Gunn. This guy's posts were horrendous and he criticises GIna?? The double standard is horrible. His posts (I want to puke - this guy is terrible): James Gunn = Political ally (with a horrible personal behaviour) = hired. Gina Carano = Free woman with her own opinion = fired. Disney has no spine, no consistency, no morals. Yet, everybody keep licking their boots. Weak with the strong and strong with the weak, is that it?

Disney is ridiculous... and as a result, Star Wars suffers.

Interesting, I missed that part about Favreau. If I had been Favreau, I would've done the same, because it threatens his SW projects. But if I had been Gina, I would've done the same as she did too. Restraining an actress, while all of the other "celebs" can speak freely (just because "they have the right opinion") is called double standards. It's a form of injustice. She didn't let injustice shut her up. I don't agree with her covid posts (there were only 2 of them, they were about freedom of choice - that's a fair debate, intellectuals have it where I live). About her post on the elections, it's not what the media says. She said there should be laws to protect fair elections (like requiring voter ID). Everybody should agree with that. Who is against laws to protect elections? She didn't say that there were frauds (maybe that's what she thought, but she didn't say it. In a fair justice, what matters is what people say - facts - not what they supposedly think). There are 2 posts from Pedro who explicitely compared the USA and the nazis (this one and this one). There was 1 instagram post (a story, not even a post) from Gina about WW2, and she didn't explicitely make a comparison with today's situation. She just said that intolerance starts with the people hating their neighbors. This is completely true. I've studied totalitarian regimes throught history and she is right. BTW, if we made a list of "celebrities" (and journalists) using WW2 to delegitimate their opponents, the list would be long. We all know that. It's not just Pedro.

Then, why didn't they fire Pedro Pascal, who made the same kind of tweets? No, the real reason is that Gina is different than the others. Gina got fired because she doesn't think like the others. She doesn't think like the clones (should I make another SW analogy? ) Hollywood is a factory that builds clones. If you are different, you are fired. The clones loved Mr. Weinstein, when it was "fashionable" (even if it was horrible, they didn't care). Now, they follow their new cult, but it will change and change again, because "it’s not the weathervane that turns, it’s the wind". Where did you see that Favreau told her to stop? I didn't see this information (or maybe I missed it). Yep, she doesn't back down when Empires asks her to. She should be praised for that.
