The players that go naked aren't completely crazy. When you don't wear anything, you're faster and the resistance provided by the armors is very small anyway. Good shield and good weapon is all you need.

I've seen videos of this guy in the past. First with Sekiro. He likes From Software lore. Hawkwood's armor is the Abyss watchers'. It's probably the best armor if you want to stick with light/medium gear (which is the best option IMHO - the weight capacity should be used for the weapons or shields). Chaos Astora greatsword, Claymore or Moonlight greatsword are the best options for my gameplay. They're not the heaviest (but they're still heavy).
