I don't know the specifics of his management of the crisis, so I can't really say, but from the studies I've read, it seems to be hard to compare Covid policies as it's multifactorial in its causes and the polices have cascades of consequences (not just on covid, but also on other physical health issues, mental health, socio-economics, delinquency, etc.) Anyway, I'm sure he did think he made a great job, so the theory of this "Dr Grande" makes a lot of sense, he's probably right about that. PS: the nursing home story is still shocking BTW.
