  1. Almost done with Tolkein's The Hobbit. Wow, super boring, even more boring than the Simarillion.

  3. The testimony is very bizarre. On top of this she is supposed to be a professional/successful actress? Johnny Depp's testimony had a lot of stuttering and pausing but it sounded genuine.

  5. Yes, she's the beautiful Boss Girl/Doctor lady that was hired to diagnose Amber as having mental illness.. Her employees are pretty too: https://currypsychology.com/therapist/anna-barsoe-lmft/ https://currypsychology.com/therapist/kari-a-fisher/ she kind of looks like your type
  6. OMG!!!!, wish I knew the first girl's name.
  7. This war (5/6) is getting really weird. 1. Russians are making slow gains in the Donbass/South but retreating in the Kharkiv region, which they left a skeleton crew to hold. It's like they took Kharkiv hostage and used the region as a diversionary area to prevent the Ukrainians from reinforcing the East and South. 2. Ukr Gov't/Military is claiming that Putin is close to declaring war on Ukraine. The 9th of May is supposed to be the day he does it. We'll see.. Total collapse of peace talks in the near-term. 3. Massive increase of US military aid to Ukraine to the level of a proxy war and big help with US intelligence services & satellites. However the US aid is unlikely to effect the situation on the ground in the near term (coming weeks) as the equipment needs to be integrated with trained troops. And the polygot of equipment Ukraine got from Allied nations is going to be a maintenance and logistics mess, it is unlikely they will get the most out of what they have been given. The most valuable equipment they received were the US/NATO self-propelled howitzers. 4. The Russians continue to pursue their objectives on a razor edge, and with relatively few forces. Massively outnumbered by the Ukrainians in infantrymen while having great superiority in air support, equipment and firepower. It is unlikely that the NATO/US aid will reverse the Russian material superiority. At the same time, without declaring war on Ukraine the Russian infantry inferiority will persist and cripple offensive operations. It seems like they are stuck in some critical areas and advancing at a snail's pace.
  8. This takes place immediately after the novels:

    Walking time!

I don't go to the gym. I lift weights 3 hrs a week (4 sessions) and total about 8-10 hours of walking a week. I've been doing this for years. With this time I use it to work on audiobooks and have completed countless books while walking. It is very productive for me. I think walking is great, as it doesn't damage the knees long term compared to jogging. It also doesn't increase stress hormones the way long jogs do so you end up feeling more happy as a whole with the circulation and positive hormones. The only downside to walking is that it takes a lot more time than running and you won't burn as many calories. But the benefits are overall a lot great IMHO and it is much easier to be consistent with it. I walk either in the neighborhood or I go to a park (5-10 min away from my house). This 550 acre park straddles a river and has several lakes.
  10. @SympathysSilhouette have you read the Fire and Blood series (1 and 2) which the prequel show is based on? I heard that it is a lorebook rather than a narrative. Sounds like the Simarillion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fire_%26_Blood_(novel) Funny that GRRM chose to write this tome instead of Winds of Winter. It's like he'll do anything NOT to finish book 6. He acts like he will live until 120. And to top this off, vol.2 of "Fire and Blood" is not published yet, meaning that the prequel show also doesn't have an ending. LOL!
  11. After stalling for a while, I will do a full review of Witcher 3 100% plus DLC. This channel has a particuarly efficient playthrough with no commentary: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9s0nMsssGV0N09qJgbKKAM6Zv29JxIqI Just counted it- approx. 101 hours long.
  12. Amber Heard's testimony is a massive cringefest and, at the same time, comedic gold. I can only accept it in small chunks.
  13. Biased Psychologist- this time defending Amber Heard
  14. It would be cool if there was DLC and/or Elden Ring 2 and they brought GRRM back to write it. However it seems like the story/characters are mostly self-contained and have a satisfactory ending.
