Episode 6 has tons of action and a lot of money was spent making it. However, I can't shake the feeling that the director of this episode just wasn't that good at directing battles/action.

Yea, it's good music for a 2007 game. I think it is very appropriate. Witcher 2's music on the other hand, I like even less than Witcher 1. Witcher 3 of course has the greatest music of all, and hours of quality.
