Yeah, Africa has the most extreme fertility. Probably due to lack of protection and the BBC lol. Middle East seems to be due to religion?

Three of the countries with the worst fertility rates are Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan (east asia, 1st world). Another cause could be overwork, spending all the time on education and career. Also being agnostic/atheist. The Eastern European fertility problem definitely has poverty as part of the reason (Ukraine is one of the worst, Russia is bad too).
