hey lyon, I read your response in one of the GF threads, and you know, if you want more attention on BZ, just write more than one sentence and add more substance to your posts. There are a few posters that get plenty of attention here, and they all put an above-average amount of effort in making their BZ presence more valuable than norm. However, people on this forum are a twitter-like quiet bunch, so it doesn't come quickly.

btw, what I wanted to respond in your post was the fact that Germans have a different way of interpretating social situations and meanings of things, and it's noticeable.

I've been in Canada, Japan Germany, Taiwan, China. I've lived in Germany and Taiwan for a substantial period of time. (working)

I can attest to your experiences with the short form though- people tend to prefer it and automatically switch if the situation becomes more tense..:-p

oh yeah, LOL, there are hello kitty stores here and there. There are tons of places I'd like to visit, but like you, I've never been to France so that's probably #1 on my list. I'd also like to visit Singapore ^_^
