Do you think if it's just Alessandra leaving they'll have Dri saying how much she'll miss Ale and blablabla? Kinda like Heidi and Tyra in 2005. I can see Adriana leaving next year maybe but I doubt VS will be down to losing their two main models at the same time and Alessandra seems to be more on her way out than Dri. Either way, if one or both of them are leaving VS better do some nice shit for them, they have been with VS long enough and not giving them a proper goodbye would be a slap in the face ... But not even Heidi got one so who knows. It will be really cute if Adriana spoke about Ale in the video, although I don't know if that's what they really filmed for lol it could also probably be a promotion for the show or something else. I also heard Adriana wants to stay but she isn't to happy about having to work with "The Newest Angels" so she is also thinking of leaving but besides all of that Adriana loves VS is like family to her so if she decides to stay is because of her love for VS but at this point a lot of veteran Angels aren't to pleased with the new Angels lol Interesting. Yeah back when there wasn't a Pink section, but typically ever since it was introduced......those girls are typically cast for their cute and bubbly look. The only exception is the 07 Pink segment. That year had some drop dead beauty's walking Pink! Yes, even the PINK section used to include real world-class beauties but I disagree that that was the case only in 2007. I would say that 2006-2008 was the golden era of PINK as far as the models go. Future Angels like Miranda, Rosie, Candice and Doutzen walked for PINK as well as some pretty well-known models. there's no such thing like a golden era for PINK ... ok, maybe from 2006-2007 Again, I’m talking about the models.

She should definitely try out for SI! She looked beautiful in Marie Claire’s pool photo shoot and her work for Victoria’s Secret SWIM shows that she can be a beach girl as well.

Kevork89, I get what you are saying. Ed used to pride himself on how there was only about a 100 women in the world who could walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Nowadays the number is definitely way higher since the minimum qualifications are just having a cute face and being tall and skinny (and knowing someone from Victoria’s Secret). I don’t think “cute” should cut it for the VSFS even in the PINK section. What made Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows so special was that one model after another was stunningly beautiful.

Both of them have curvier hips/thighs than the typical VS runway model.

It does seem unfair that someone can get cast in the show due to their personal connections (Megan) when Barbara looks like this but wasn’t cast: In addition, Gigi and Barbara have some similarities in their look so I think that Gigi’s fame was the deciding factor when she was cast in the show rather than Gigi having a better look for the runway than Barbara.

If Barbara wasn’t able to match that or how she looked in 2012, the competition was probably too high. Did Barbara go to castings? Izabel was so emotional that I have to wonder if a lot of her identity is tied to being a Victoria’s Secret runway model. I get the feeling that if she was rejected, her self-esteem would take a really big hit. I find that unhealthy in a way, but then again, it’d be hard not to feel like getting cast in the show is a form of validation. Maybe the tears were also because of all the sacrifices she’s made like dieting and exercising just like an athlete would when trying to qualify for a team. There are no guarantees of making it into the show so she probably feared that she might’ve done all of it seemingly for nothing.

That sneak preview of Lily’s outfit with the black feathered wings looks amazing! Those wings for PINK(?) look a LOT better than they did in the previous video. I really dislike it when girls carry on their back something that is basically just a board. Wings should be shaped like wings, that is clearly the most attractive shape.

Maybe Heidi could have worn the harp wings? She seemed to love big wings.

Better shape??? You talking about Vita? Just in general. VSFS models tend to be either incredibly toned and fit or they are high fashion runway models who can wear lingerie too. Barbara is definitely a lot curvier. Even though Gigi looked great in the casting video, girls who have “bikini bodies” have usually had a hard time getting cast in the show. In addition, Barbara was probably not in the same shape Gigi was.

The fringe top looks great as well as the wings that have fringe. Whoever gets that is lucky whereas the motorized “fireworks” one is not pretty. Hmm…. Ed’s words at the end of the video. Even if Barbara Palvin did work out for the castings, I don’t think it was enough when other girls started out in better shape and worked out like crazy on top of that.

Hmm… Why would Jourdan get the axe and not some other lesser known model? They make it sound like it was about skin colour. But maybe Jourdan had a problem with Kendall and Gigi getting all the spotlight and credit and VS decided to side with Kendall and Gigi who are the hot duo right now. TBH it's a likely possibility, check out her likes. Yes, it does sound like she lashed out due to being hurt rather than thinking that VS has gone too down-market with casting the likes of Kendall so she is not interested in walking in the show anymore. If Jourdan did get dropped for Kendall, it’s good that Rihanna showed her support for Jourdan i.e. it’s not just Kendall and Gigi who have friends in the business. Losing Rihanna must’ve been a big blow to VS.
