  1. Video: Eu nunca com Marlon Teixeira, Chico Lachowski e Mat OMG, I wanna know who the 30+ or 40+ year old MILF was that Francisco was with!
  2. Adds The TOMMYXGIGI Collection Catalogue images Source: http://eu.tommy.com/
  3. ^ The Mavi video on YouTube: Barbara Palvin - İstanbul'da Görüşürüz
  4. Uh-oh, he is very good friends with Francisco Lachowski. (Then again Francisco calls him his son for some reason so maybe Jordan acts quite young and that can be annoying to some.) Hopefully, there are duo pictures of Francisco and Elsa as well. And that Mavi shot videos. It’s been quite difficult to find good quality images of this campaign but maybe they’ll get released soon since it’s fall now. Anyway, I came across these earlier and they seem to be bigger (but with borders) than the corresponding ones posted on the previous page: Mavi FW16 Indigo Move campaign Source: http://www.denimsandjeans.com/brands/mavi-launches-indigo-move-collection-in-collaboration-with-adriano-goldschmied/22416
  5. Oh, what does he do?
  6. Elsa Hosk and Jordan Kale Barrett for Mavi FW16 Indigo Move campaign. Bigger (and more photoshopped ) than the previously posted one: Additional: Source: https://www.mavi-store.de/de_DE/magazin/story/campaign-fall-winter-2016
  7. @Ella Me2nson Serenay? ETA Nevermind, you mean the female in the picture, Serenay Sarikaya.
  8. Looks great in that boxing pic! And Mavi, why did Francisco Lachowski have to shoot with Elsa Hosk and not with Barbara
  9. What did they do?
  10. Poor Irina Shayk, I don’t think she’ll try again but it must bother her a little that she didn’t get to reach that goal in her career.
  11. Has she been to the castings before? How come Hailey Clauson hasn’t been at the VSFS, wasn’t she a big deal in high fashion once?
  12. Oh, Kate Bock too. Well, she seems irrelevant despite winning Rookie of the Year. She has some great pictures but she doesn’t have that star quality. Looks a bit older too sometimes.
  13. Oh, I forgot to mention Irina, it seems like she might be a “mainstay” in the issue. I don’t mind that actually, she does have a great look and she knows how to be a sexy swimsuit model. On the other hand, I don’t think that she’ll get the cover again so her being in the issue might feel a bit redundant. I can’t help but wonder whether her best work is behind her. But then again, sometimes my interest in her is re-sparked. Oh, and I guess I forgot about Hannah Davis, too. Sadly, her modeling abilities really went down with that boob job. So I doubt I’d be sorry if she left SI.
  14. Out of left field nice cover choice would be Rose Bertram perhaps? (She is a bit of a question mark for me because I’m fairly unfamiliar with her work for SI but e.g. her Instagram video “Stick talk” is great.) I was thinking of Vita before but those boobs… and the weight fluctuation… Samantha is big no for me. Robyn is too boring. No to Myla, she is a rookie, that’s enough. Lily, Chrissy, Nina and Hailey have all been on the cover already even though they had to share the spotlight and Ashley, too, of course. Well, it feels like Ashley didn’t have to share the spotlight, the big news was her being on the cover and on her first (official) year, too. Maybe if Sara Sampaio was still here, she’d be a cover contender but then again maybe not, too much association with VS by now. Emily Didonato, I think she’ll be stuck in the been-in-the-issue-year-after-year-but-never-gets-the-cover role. She is really pretty etc. but maybe doesn’t have enough obvious girl next door sex appeal. Erin, hmm, she is a mess, not really rooting for her, it’s big enough for her if she is back. Gigi, I wasn’t even thinking about her, I feel like she gets a little too many things. Her being on the cover would not be that big of a deal, she is already famous. And Bojana, no, just her being back is enough. Mia Kang making it in the issue from the model search is enough for her. So all in all, Hannah Ferguson would be a good choice as she has shot for SI for a few years and seems to have a pleasant enough personality. Maybe not the most sparkling personality but she doesn’t come across as arrogant and that’s the most important thing. Barbara getting the cover on her sophomore year might be a bit too soon. Third year would be ideal for her, have her work a little for it ;D and be a solid SI girl, not just Barbara the model and celebrity and idol but a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model.
  15. Barbara does seem to sometimes suffer from not giving her best effort because she gets great opportunities regardless. The thing is, this year she seems to have put in the effort as we could all see from the shape her body was in in the candid beach picture.
  16. Hopefully, she’ll get the cover. Although it might be Hannah Ferguson’s turn.
  17. Here are pictures that I collected sometime in 2015: Express Lookbook/Catalogue Source: http://www.express.com/
  18. I think SI wanted the girls to be “natural” because they were at Zanzibar but they didn’t quite understand the extent of Erin’s “jewfro.”
  19. I just walked past At first I thought they had a fashion show because why would there be a shirtless man standing around in a department store but I think he was giving samples of a fragrance.
  20. May I request an animated signature of Francisco Lachowski: Francisco Lachowski: 7Diamonds - Spring/Summer 2016 And an avatar (possibly a still one) of Kate Upton: Kate Upton by Bruce Weber for CR Fashion Book Thank you so much!
  21. Now I understand why men are intimidated by beautiful women! I went to a store today that had a promotional event going on and there was a shirtless male model handing out some samples. I was too embarrassed to even really look at him.
  22. @CrazyGEN Yes, I remember that guy too. I think his goal was to be in the top ten richest people in the world and he was upset with Forbes’ way of calculating wealth so he said he would turn his focus on some other lists. As far as the woman goes, wasn’t that more of an example on how start-ups can gain huge amounts of money before they have proven to be viable successes? Her product didn’t end up performing like they had hoped. I don’t think you would be able to find 10 male models getting paid over a million per year but it’d be unbelievable to me if you didn’t find 10 male models earning over $300k a year from modelling. So I think either the agencies wanted certain names to be on the list (promoting their top talents with also high fashion appeal instead of their commercial models) or Forbes wanted certain types to be on the list (has at least one major client or at least one campaign for a known high fashion designer) So something similar might’ve happened to the women too. Forbes wants to write about the lifestyles of the rich and famous so I think they’d want the models on their list to be glamorous and easily recognizable. So Victoria’s Secret Angels and some mainstays in high fashion.
  23. It could also be the case that the industry has an agenda to say that “Instagirls” are paying off now i.e. making them a lot of money. The pendulum will probably shift to the other end in the future. Designers might then want “exclusivity” and not book models with a large number of followers on social media because that might be deemed too down-market and accessible.
  24. Interesting! It could also hinge on what is your definition of a model. Do the modeling jobs go to pop stars in Asia and to Bollywood stars in India? On the other hand, actresses like Cara Delevingne and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are still considered models in America and in Europe.
