Facially he looked the part, but there was something slightly off about the way he looked overall. Maybe it was the hair. In general, I thought he did well and was very faithful to the original character (as he had to be, with Leonard also on set). But he did have something of a sinister edge to him as well. Having watched "Heroes" quite a bit in the past, I was half expecting him to try and cut Kirk's brain open during the fight scene. :|

The potential for it to go wrong could be pretty high. They'll probably have a similar theme to the first movie with a new villain leading a familiar group of enemies.

Sorry Fred - I'm afraid I can neither confirm nor deny. It certainly sounds like something that Drury might say, but my memories of that game are a bit vague. The sight of Tore Andre Flo scoring a goal sounds quite novel, though!

Whenever a commentator shows such obvious bias towards the English clubs, I usually take it as an open invitation to back the other team. I could never get why TV stations (be it Sky, ITV or whoever else) expect fervent anti-United or anti-Chelsea fans to suddenly start rooting for them, just because they're playing against Johnny Foreigner. As the article says, the Champions League isn't England vs. Europe, it's a club competition where the viewers don't always have a vested interest. But hey, what else would you expect from someone whose catchphrase is "ROOOONNNEEEEYYY!!!"

Well, the youth is starting to change.

Not sure how far along the show is in the States so I hope I'm not talking about ancient history (episode 14 was shown last night here in the UK), but the scene when Mark and Demitri found D. Gibbons' phone number by analysing an old chess game was hilarious. They must have been channelling the spirit of Adam West and Burt Ward.

To be fair to original Chekov, he did suffer some stressful times. Apart from the Alien-like creature he got in his ear in II, he also (if I remember rightly) fell off the ship in IV. That would age anyone by a few years.
