More new Marling! As I understand it, the studio version of this will be the lead track from 'A Creature I Don't Know'. Sounds like a bit of a step away from the traditional folk sound of her previous work but it's no worse off for it. And a new tune from the much-missed (by me, anyway) CSS, with a nice little assist from Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie. (Y)

Could perhaps imagine the flamenco-influenced aesthetic evolving over time, but I get the feeling that the colour scheme will be sustained throughout. I've watched some grainy old YouTube footage of Cheap Hotel (Anna's previous band) and it appears the red and black was a prerequisite even then.

Mary Kay: 3.5 - Not half bad. Liked the constantly moving background a lot. Miss Dior: 2 - Top marks for production values, bottom marks for substance. Dior Addict: 1.5 - I expected to like this one a lot more than I did. Very well shot but generally unmemorable and too long by half. Bruna Avelain: 3.5 - The constant jumping from scene to scene was too jarring for my liking, though I'd imagine it would be quite effective in catching attention on TV.
