There's simply no room for the Kate pictures on the pages of British tabloids. No really, they're still far too packed with close-up shots of her sister Pippa's bottom.

I understand the argument (and objectively don't disagree), but given the way the trilogy unfolded, I found it impossible to begrudge Wayne a happy ending. The thing about him (the one exception being golden age Batman, who I believe retired and married Selina) is that he's stuck being Batman forever in the books, which of course is fine, because comics are an open-ended medium. Cinema is a different proposition though, and Nolan, to his credit, had the conviction to deliver a real conclusion where so many would have opted out, even if that conclusion was never going to be everyone's cup of tea. Sounds good to me.

^Woah. That might actually be my favourite song of the year so far. Had it on repeat for a good two hours now. The Cat's Eyes album ended up being one of my favourites of 2011. I suspect they really only started off as Faris's sideline between Horrors albums, but the project seemed to take on a bit of a life of its own, and there's apparently going to be a follow-up somewhere down the line. Once again, flashing images abound...

Just discovered this one by Rachel Zeffira (aka the member of Cat's Eyes who isn't Faris Badwan). There's a solo album coming in December. Author's note: the video includes flashing images.

I think I speak for JJ Abrams when I say - why the hell not!? And if they need a grumpy older brother, I know the perfect person to play him. Of course, they'll have to use a bit of CGI to make up the height difference.

That's a relief. The article I read had me worried when it only mentioned the other five. If they do decide to use Khan for this movie, I'd quite like to see him as a closer representation of what the nineties were actually like as opposed to what Gene Roddenberry predicted way back when. A coffee drinking Nirvana and X-Files fan with a goatee beard, maybe.

^ So I guess understandably, the plot details are being kept under wraps for now. It's confirmed though that Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, John Cho and Anton Yelchin are all coming back (no word on Zoe Saldana or Karl Urban as of yet). And best of all, Benedict Cumberbatch is known to be playing the villain.

^Thanks! So apparently, Victoria is taking part in this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing' on the BBC, which I've never watched before on the grounds that it looks a bit on the rubbish side. A moral dilemma if ever there was one.
  23. Congratulations!
