  2. If the description turns out to be accurate, people are going to freak when they see the trailer. In a good way. P.S. I'm going to separate this from the old Star Wars thread. I think the movie deserves its own topic.
  3. Is the correct answer!
  4. American Sniper. I must say, although I can understand people reading it that way, I found it to be more than just a straight-up propaganda piece. I thought there was some room for ambiguity there, and that it allowed the viewer to make their own mind up about the man. As a coherent piece of drama however, it was incredibly boring, disconnected and sketchy. There’s probably a fascinating film to be made about Chris Kyle, but for whatever reason Clint was unwilling or unable to make it. Think of it as ‘Dirty Harry’ without any of the fun and you’ll be on the right lines.
  5. Take two.
  6. I suppose to be fair, looking at their last few projects, it was clear that they became fairly dysfunctional after EA snatched them up. Long development periods, dropped features and confused application of the ones that were kept. The one thing I could never quite wrap my head around was the thinking (or the alleged thinking ) behind telling people that Sim City had to be online at all times. It'd be interesting if one or more of Maxis' former developers were to lift the lid on how things were behind the scenes during that whole crazy fiasco.

Thanks Shepherd. I have to say, I thought we'd seen the last of Ginsberg.
  9. < B U M P > Apparently, we can now add Maxis to the list of developers absorbed by EA and then eventually discarded. http://kotaku.com/ea-shuts-down-simcity-developer-maxis-1689454903 I hope this means we can finally get a first person shooter game, or perhaps even a survival horror game featuring zombies. There seems to be a real shortage in that area at the moment.
  10. It's going to be a mammoth ensemble piece, but Whedon has shown himself to be capable of wrangling extensive casts into coherent blockbusters, and has seemingly been sensible in his decisions to draw from interlocking source material (the Scarlet Witch/Vision connection, for example). Overall, I think the outlook is pretty good. With regard to Miles, anyone but Jaden Smith.
  11. Right on schedule, the individual promos for Hawkeye and Cap have arrived. Come on Pietro and Wanda!
  12. Half a point each, really, but... Emily Didonato [5] Sara Sampaio [1]

Unfortunately, we’re Sunderland and we’re not very good at winning football matches. Thankfully, Hull aren't either. Couldn't even hazard a guess as to what the initial Gus gameplan was meant to be; before the introductions of Alvarez and Van Aanholt gave us a much-needed shot in the arm, the performance was up (or down) there with the most disjointed and ineffective we’ve produced in many a year. Still, they say any point away from home is a good one, and looking at the table this afternoon, I suppose I'm inclined to agree.

Another well-intentioned performance, ending as we knew it would, in nothing. We’ve had plenty of frustrating afternoons this season and there'll no doubt be a few more to come, hoping against hope however that the law of averages comes into play against Hull on Tuesday.

  20. Congratulations on the new arrival. Welcome to the world, Olivia!
  21. Thanks Shepherd and Raf. So we can probably expect Cap and Hawkeye posters to appear over the next couple of days (perhaps early next week), potentially followed by Pietro and Wanda. Although for me, it's all about the first high-res look at Vision.
  22. Terribly sad news. Thank you Leonard for so many great memories.
