Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Presumably, the civil war erupts when the rest of the team find out about the size of Iron Man's pay packet. 'Winter Soldier' was my favourite MCU effort to date and I think this will be interestingly done too, although they'll have to straighten out a few plot points for it to really work. The 'Avengers Initiative' thing was the outcome of the 'Civil War' comic book and as we know, they already went there and covered that in the first Avengers movie. I suppose the other worry is that the story could feel a bit underpopulated, what with Marvel not being allowed to make full use of the book's roster of characters. All signs still seem to point to Spider-Man being involved, but the X-Men and the Fantastic Four will be off limits, for obvious reasons.

The X-Files
Previously on 'The X-Files'... Scully and Mulder cover Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young?

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
Yeah, now that they’ve nailed down 'Infinity War', I expect the rumors and speculation to intensify for the directors of Captain Marvel, Black Panther and the Inhumans. I'd actually quite like to see Whedon step in and direct the former. Forgot to mention it before, but I thought it was another nice touch for the same tech guy who refused to launch Robert Redford's Hydra gunships in 'Winter Soldier', to be on board Fury's aircraft carrier in this one.

Jem and the Holograms
Somehow, the 'in name only' genre still appears to be kicking. You could only really pull off something as outlandish as Jem by doing it as a daft eighties period piece, and by not trying too hard to re-imagine it for today's audiences. That way, old fans look at the movie fondly, new fans embrace the energy and silliness of it all.

The Avengers, Age of Ultron, Infinity War & Endgame (2012-2019)
The consensus will be that it isn't as good as the original and quite honestly it isn't, although not by a lot. It fell short of my absolute best-case scenario through a few slight irritations (the subplot with Thor at the mystical pool only barely made sense, and the double telegraphing of Hawkeye seemed a bit clumsy), but it was still such a ridiculous amount of fun. There were more than enough dazzling action sequences and clever visual gags to make up for any minor complaints, it didn't take itself too seriously and made sure it delivered on big set pieces that are better than the usual fare. Overall, I think it's safe to say that Whedon has made another must-see summer blockbuster. Can't believe it's been almost two years since I first started the topic.

Not for Universal, they've already raked in over five hundred million quid.

Spreading Sherwood's points return over a full season would see Villa eighth in the current table, and there's the small matter of an FA Cup final still to come, too. He might remain a difficult fellow to warm to, but it's getting harder and harder to claim that confidence of his is misplaced. Sunderland have won 100% of games in which Danny Graham has scored. Talisman! We might already have enough points to stay up, we might not, but those three should go a long way towards booking another trip to Goodison next year. If we could find a way to edge out Leicester on Saturday, we'd be almost assured. Hopefully, Dick has it covered. Thankfully, you can always count on QPR to do a QPR.

Captain America: Civil War (2016)
Another one to really look forward to. The cast list is as impressive as it is exciting, although there are obviously still a few names missing from it. No mention of Peter Parker as yet, but the character will almost certainly be relaunched here, even if Marvel hasn’t actually come out and said it yet. Most interestingly of all, the return of General Ross, which presumably means Banner will be showing up.

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
There's Apocalypse too, he was always written in the comics as one of the world's first ever mutants, although he was meant to have fused himself with alien technology later on. I haven't read all the X-Men stuff, but I remember that particular arc causing a bit of a stir at the time, with folks online going so far as to declare it one of the worst comic book stories ever produced. It was basically written as an excuse to clear out all the characters they'd lost interest in - a shocking amount were killed off and very abruptly, and all the deaths were staged to appear ironic (albeit in more of an Alanis Morissette kind of way). Think of it as 'Punisher Kills The Marvel Universe' without the dark humour, subtlety or charm and you'll be on the right lines.

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
Someone might be able to correct me on this, but it looks like the 'Ultimatum' story arc from Marvel's 'Ultimate Universe', which I believe was a reboot of sorts set in an alternate timeline. They designed it to keep people guessing and move in new and unexpected directions, and killed well-known characters off left, right and centre. Although if I'm remembering it right, there was nothing resembling a significant payoff at the end.

Suicide Squad (2016)
It's news to me that Katana is going to be in this. She looks great, as do Harley, Croc and Deadshot. Cara Delevingne's Enchantress seems like a bit of a departure though, they've made her look like the girl from 'The Ring'. Anyone know who the two on either side of the group are meant to be? I don't recognise them at all. Edit: reliably informed that it's Adam Beech as Slipknot and Jay Hernandez as El Diablo. Honestly, I'm none the wiser. No prizes for guessing who's going to be getting bumped off first.
