I see some people are complaining about the Leni & Heidi Klum shoot for Intimissimi? The argument seems to be that it's "inappropriate" for a mom and daughter to pose like that. I thought the shoot was very tame and even endearingly sweet. If you see something other than that, the problem is probably your own mind and not the photoshoot itself.

I was expecting it. I didn't like it, but if they hadn't done it than they would have spent a lot of unnecessary time on Halbrand. So it was a bit predictable.

My absolute favorite moment in the last episode was the little smile Daemon gave Aemond right after he caused the scene during the dinner when he used the name of their biological father to refer to his nephews (Rhaenyra's kids). It was like a little smirk of recognition at the kind of bullshit Daemon likes to engage in himself. It's probably no coincidence that their first names are anagrams of each other.

Yeah, unfortunately. Beautiful show to look at but the writing leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm not a "core" SW fan. I have seen the movies and the TV shows, read a few of the books (the Thrawn Trilogy) but have seen little of the animated shows (Clone Wars and Rebels). Judged on its own merits, Andor is my favorite SW thing since Rogue One. But I do think the people who hated Rogue One will also hate this.

Like it's clear we are meant to care deeply about Raenyra, but the show has never given us good enough reasons to do so? Whereas people all loved Arya after just the first season of GoT. Admittedly it took longer for Sansa to get fans.

I'm judging Andor on its quality and it's a very well-written show with a very enjoyable and charismatic cast. I have no interest in what Disney might have done wrong in the past. Not everything has to be part of some broader cultural discussion.

Still not fully on board. Paddy Considine's Viserys was the best thing about the show. Wondering how they will cope without him. Collectively GoT had many, many more interesting characters than House of the Dragon does. Perhaps it was foolish to think they could make so many compelling characters twice.

Andor is great and if you enjoyed Rogue One, you'd probably also enjoy this.

I'm up to the most recent episodes for both of them. I think both shows are underwhelming but I slightly prefer Rings of Power. Last episode of House was good, mostly thanks to Paddy Considine's epic performance in it. Of the newish shows I am watching, my favorite currently is actually Andor.

Seems weird to blame this on Zelensky when it's Putin who has threatened to use nukes every five minutes or so since February.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I will start with "blame-shifting from Hollywood", since it's the first thing on your list. Who are they blaming? What are they blaming them for?

It's not just 100 years ago. I gave examples from movies that are less than ten years old. My point is that non-white-to-white casting has always been common, so why the sudden concern about white-to-non-white casting? Arguments/ideas have to be internally consistent for me, otherwise I don't see why I should bother.
