  1. Based on the pictures, this is the best Candice has looked at a VSFS since 2009.
  2. I've been trying to figure out the themes for the costumes in Calender Girls. There's a few I don't quite get and a few other's I'm unsure of. Anyone care to help me? January – New Year February – Valentine’s day March – St. Patrick’s day April – Rain??? May – not a clue June – something with weddings? July – 4th of July August – Beach? September – something to do with (collegiate) sports? October – Halloween November - Thanksgiving December - Christmas
  3. Inspiration? No, that would imply they took something and then made their own interpretation of it. This is a blatant rip-off!
  4. Actually, both "Dangerous Liaisons" and the aforementioned Reese Witherspoon vehicle are based on the 18th century French epistolary novel "Les Liaison dangereuses". The John Malkovich - Glenn Close movie is also one of the sexiest features ever made. You should watch it if you get the chance. lol I know it's based after a Novel, but in terms of movies and for the sanity of the Facebook generation, I'll let them relate to the movie side of life You should share you knowledge whenever you get the opportunity Prettyphile.

  6. VS is hardly above PR disasters. Remember when their casting director needlessly slammed Kate Upton after she got the SISE cover? That wasn't the smartest PR move either...
  7. Rather naive (lack of worldliness?) from VS to now realize right away that would cause controversy.
  8. Things we need VS to implement: 7-8 years max as the norm for their contracted girls more mature looking models at the VSFS to off-set all the girlish types more back to basics in their fashion show outfits (TBF, they did this to a certain extent this year)
  9. I believe Adri's 14 years with the company is already a record... I honestly thought Heidi would hold the record, but she left after 13 years. If she indeed has two more years left on her contract that would be a rather absurdly long tenure of 16 years. I think the normal shelf live for an Angel should be 7-8 years. That's enough time to go from newbie to familiar face to Angel to main attraction. Again, this has nothing to do with the models age or their appearance. It's about keeping the show and their image fresh. I'm a big fan of Candice (like her a lot more than Adriana, now and before), but I surely hope she isn't still doing the VSFS in five years.
  10. I thought I read somewhere that she just signed a new three year contract with VS last year.. not sure about that though. I agree with you, as much as I love her, it's almost that time to move on to better things. Especially seeing her at the show, it kinda made me sad she's getting older It's not about her age as much as the fact that this was her 14th VSFS! I'm not sure any model should be on that show for a decade and a half.
  11. How many years are left on Adri's contract? Not wanting to anger her fans, but isn't it about time for VS to move on after 14 years?
  12. That's ten outfits I (sorta) like in one post. I'm not sure there were ten in the entire show last year!
  13. I agree 100% that Jacquelyn looked very good. But it's easier to "work" that kind of outfit than many of the others. It that regard it reminded me a lot of the Toy Soldier outfit Karolina once opened a section with (was it back in '06 or '07)? Point is, any model with a good body and some runway presence should make that look memorable.
  14. They seem to have just one type: girlish. The old VSFS had more mature-looking women. I'm actually pretty convinced it is a conscious choice by VS to appeal to the 16-24 age group, which is probably fairly important to their business.
  15. I'm not too negative. The outfits looked a bit better than last year, Candice actually looked really good for a change. I just wish there was a bit more variety in their models.
  16. I love Hilary, but.. really? I liked her green outfit actually Computer says... yes!
  17. Two things I am hoping for from VS for future shows: More newbies Amongst the newbies, go less for the girlish type and more for womanly figures. The Angels now all have too similar a type when there used to be a better blend in the past. Past VS models I would put in the "Women" category: Heidi Gisele Tyra Naomi Karolina It's not about their age, but about a certain body type and facial features. That type is now sorely lacking from their stable of Angels.
  18. I don't think she looks tired. I am however a bit tired of seeing her in the VSFS. She must be getting close to the record of shows, if she doesn't hold it already. I believe this was her 14th show!
  19. Hire a model with one of the best posteriors in the business Cover said asset with a tailsuit
  20. Those boots are the beez neez.
  21. This is probably the first time since 2010 they have some outfits that properly showcase her legs.
  22. Looks like Candice finally throttled oldskool style at a VSFS. It's been too long. Welcome back to the big time, Candi!
  23. The single most insane thing I've read today is the notion that Barbara Palvin looks "fat"...
