True Detective
I think this was my favorite episode so far. Though I have to say that some of the dialogue is getting a bit close to self-parody. And I have nothing against showcasing Rusts nihilism, but it's a bit much for every other conversation with Marty to end up there.

Victoria's Secret (Non-Model Related Discussions)
It seems to be a pretty American thing actually. I read about a Belgian couple who got the cops called on them in NYC when the woman was breastfeeding her child in a restaurant. No one would frown at that over here. I find it a bit disgusting that people would balk at a mother feeding her child.

He seems really flustered when she offers him to unzip her heels at the end.

Nice editorial. Though I have to wonder about the concept. Glittery street-walker?

As exponents of capitalism come, the modern day fashion industry would be pretty high up on the list. So I would have to disagree with you. Instead of it being inappropriate, choosing a dollar sign tattoo as a model (or stylist, or designer, or photographer, or anyone other associated with the industry) is actually incredibly apt.

Loving your avatar Jennka, do you have a link to the video? Here it is Thank you!

True Detective
Actually, I think they will continue to show that they are not as unlike each other as the audience is first led to believe. The second episode certainly shows that Hart doesn't exactly have his shit together either. Based on what I have read from the creator, sexism is purposely a major theme of the show. Well in that case they are doing a stellar job so far!

I have said this before, but SASI does a better job than SISE currently does at identifying good bikini bodies.

True Detective
It's an entertaining show, but so far the depiction of its women is a bit problematic. So far they have all been one of the following categories: Murder victim Prostitute Nagging wife Sassy secretary Sexy mistress Not exactly a show that thrives to pass the Bechdel test. McConaughey is great though, and he still has that fantastic voice that makes even the most mundane lines sound awesome. Actually, I think they will continue to show that they are not as unlike each other as the audience is first led to believe. The Wolf of Wall Street
She had a small part in "About Time". It's a cute little movie, if you don't mind a bit of sappiness.

Interesting write-up Pinky. I'd agree that the movie was probably 30 minutes too long, though for me it only started to really drag in the third act. The first two hours went by rather quickly. I thought it was Leo's best performance to date, just because he finally took some risks and went outside of his comfort zone. I cant' see him agreeing to the candle scene five years ago. He also displayed some comic talent that I wasn't aware he possessed. I agree that the supporting cast was pretty brilliant. I especially liked Rob Reiner as his dad, Jonah Hill as his sociopath of an associate and Jon Bernthal as the drug dealer. Bernthal especially was a surprise because I find him incredibly annoying on TWD. McConaughey stole the movie with his ten minute (if that much) cameo. And I agree on Margot Robbie, she was pretty great and held her own opposite a guy who has been in the business for about three decades longer than she has (Leo is a child star, Margot only started acting for real at the age of 18). The fact that she was scorching hot didn't exactly hurt. The role reminded me a bit of ScarJo's in "Don Jon" (bitchy girls with a strong Jersey/Brooklyn accent) but ScarJo didn't leave half the impression on me that Margot did. And I agree about the music, it was surprising but fun to see a Scorsese movie with the likes of the Foo Fighters and Plastic Bertrand ( ) on the soundtrack.

No, that's a fully grown man. You can tell by the beard I actually thought that was a pram too at first glance, but it's just suitcases on a trolley <_< Oops, my eyes played the same trick on me.
