i have to be honest she impressed me in "the other woman" from what I've seen. With so many new models for SI, some of the regular SI models will have to go for next year. I wouldn't be too surprised if Kate has some acting talent, but I doubt her range. She plays the sexy young mistress in "The other woman" and I fear that she will be shoe-horned into those roles. I doubt she will be accepted as a "serious" actress à la Jennifer Lawrence or Anne Hathaway.

In the comics, Carl is a full-blown psychopath. I see they have decided to drop that story line for the TV show.

This entire production has trainwreck written all over it. Every single major casting decision has gone against the grain. Eisenberg is 17 and 18 years younger than the two actors who previously portrayed Luthor were at the time of their first outing.

Missing the point completely! It's not about what I want or do not want in regard to the SISE, I'm just pointing out that it's absurd to claim that the current line-up is "diverse".

If the SISE is supposed to be a representation of the cultural diversity in either America or the world, it fails miserably. The majority of the world is not a white woman. I'm not saying that SI should actually strive for diversity, but lets not pretend that their cast of models is very diverse just because they hail from different countries. I mentioned before how slightly troubling it is that they have cast several South-Africans but none of them black. I very much doubt that is a coincidence.

I have read that the idea is to entice big name movie actors for each new season. I would say that the positive reviews this has gotten so far should make it easier to find some interested ones. Would love to see Mark Ruffalo do this show!

There is a bit of Twin Peaks in there, but Lynchs show was more obviously not supposed to take place in any close aproximation of the real world. There are some hints of magic realism in True Detective as well (e.g. the flock of birds forming the pattern just before they enter the ruined church) but it isn't drenched in that stuff like Twin Peaks was. As a side note, the stash house sequence was a masterful bit of film-making. It featured a single cut that was nearly six minutes long. Pretty impressive stuff. Agreed. Though there is one dating habit that does baffle me: all the models who have had a fling with Adam Levine. Beyond his obvious doucheyness, after all this time, the girls must know the score? So what exactly is the appeal in being the 23rd model that earns him a notch on his belt? It's not like these women don't have plenty of other good-looking and/or wealthy men to choose from.

This show has really gotten shit. It's not a new development, but each time you think they have reached a new low, they did even deeper... Shame too, because the first half dozen episodes were really great.
