I thought Cheryl's words were classless, but I don't think she really called Ashley obese. Basically she said that she represented a beauty ideal she can't identify with. Which, whilst it might be slightly mean, isn't the same as calling Ashley's body unhealthy.

Is there some reliable info out there in terms of Ashley's current weight?

Obviously it's not a big deal in any way, but the manner in which MJ has turned the cover into a gimmicky and cute affair is really to the detriment of the magazine. Forget "iconic", will we ever even get another cover that is "memorable"?

You have probably seen a lot more interviews with her than I have. Based on those that I have seen, she is more quirky than dumb/ignorant.

As the great football pundit Jan Mulder once said about this very subject: "Sometimes a little bit dumb can be fun."

I will never understand this. If you are so afraid to show a nipple, put your models in swimsuits that cover the nipples.

I'm not sure if Jeter is to blame, that kind of insecurity will have been with her for a long time. I also hope she is realistic enough to understand that Jeter likely won't stick around long-term. He is a serial manslut à la Leo Di Caprio (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Oh man. This interview makes Erin's look even worse. That's basically how you handle promo like a veteran. Nins is good at that shit, even when her quirky side comes out on occasion. I hope the powers that be at SI realize what they have in her.

Her eyes look kind of weird. Might be she is on something, might be she is just dead-tired. Or both. But yeah, her behavior is not really modulated to a media appearance. She was like 5% removed from a real break-down.

*shrugs* To me, very few of these girls stand out personality-wise. I would say that the exceptions in the recent years are: Chrissy (though not necessarily in a good way), Nina, Kate The rest just seem to be interchangeable "Oh I'm just so happy to be here" model types. I guess Alyssa had a tiny bit of a personality as well, in terms of it standing out. And Gen and Natasha had a bit of awkwardness that could be mistaken for quirky charm.

Aaaw, Erin is pretty, it's just that they seem to have done their absolute best to make her look her worst.

What I found even more odd than her breast augmentation is how odd her face looks in some shots. I suspect it's not plastic surgery. Tiredness? Boredom? She seems slightly out of it in a lot of shots.

Confirming my theory that Nina would be the funnest girlfriend of this SI crop. Though probably also one of the weirdest.

I will say this: Hannah Ferguson's intimates video is the hottest SISE related thing in a long time.

Hailey - I'm not a huge fan of hers but I sort of liked her shoot Ashley - Not my cup of tea Nina - Hit and miss for me this year, but the shots that do work are some of the best of this year's edition Bo - Perhaps the best-looking body in the issue but the shoot itself fell well short of her potential Barbara - I had some hopes for her but she was unfortunately amongst the poorest shoots this year. Chanel - Okay I guess Chrissy - To my great surprise, I didn't really mind Chrissy's shoot this year. Gigi - Liked Gigi a lot more than I thought I would. Decent shoot Hannah D - Incredibly forgettable shoot and coming just a year removed from her cover Hannah F - Incredible body and good shoot. Still room for improvement though. Lily - Never been a big fan. Completely forgettable shoot Kelly - Meh Samantha - I will never be a fan but by her standards, a decent shoot Tanya - Fairly forgettable shoot Rose - Glad she is back but not sure if this is an improvement on last year for her Emily D - Emily is a very beautiful girl but I'm increasingly convinced that SISE is just not her thing Robyn - One of the oddest SI shoots in recent history. Odd decision altogether to have her return. Sofia - Okay, nothing more Kate B - Middle of the pack for me, nothing especially memorable in there.

You don't? I see plenty of male actors who do not conform to beauty ideals. Far more than female actors. And on top of that, male actors get to play mainstream leading man roles for about 20 years longer than their female counterparts.

I hope the Opie & Anthony gang realize how unintentionally ridiculous they are, considering that Ashley is more attractive than all of them combined (said as someone who hates the Ashley cover). I also recall reading some not so great things about one of those two guys from a model who dated one of them. I believe it was the short, dark-haired, lizard-looking one (I can't be arsed to look up which one of the two that is because who fucking cares), who was a bit of a selfish, abusive asshole, if said ex-girlfriend is to be believed.
