I don't think everybody loves Miami. Only three out of twenty voters voted for it. I for one think it has seen better days. But as someone who watches an awful lot of tv, nothing that is ever on Monday at 10pm can compete with it. Also, I think some people love the fact that David Caruso is so predictable. I heard that there's some type of drinking game involving Caruso's character.

My pace has slowed down a bit on this project. I started the next model/character already so I'm one deep on that but I'm gonna stockpile some drawings first before I continue with my posting. I'll add Black Cat to my list then. I mean there is demand for her I guess. But she won't be popping up anytime soon.

She is and she will have wings as well

So would that make you more or less anorexic than the esteemed Paris Hilton?

Anyone else here ever play guitar hero? That has to be the most addicting game that I have ever played. I can definitely bust out the 100 percent on medium and below. I might get a few on hard but I'm struggling past the expert difficulty. There was a time at which I was making my own songs for my modded PS2. Those were the days. But then my PS2 broke and now I'm in withdrawl. Give it up for the only reason to still play the PS2 besides God of War 2 that is.

Where do people get their Torrents from?
Hyperion replied to red_ed's topic in Computers, Internet, and Games
If you got confused how to use Torrent, Pm me . Not really good at it like Eddy or Maddog but i'll tutor you with some screen shots . Anyway, back to topic. Why dont you guys just use www.torrentz.com ?? Its the easiest search engine. BTW, can anyone help me find the movie "Head Over Heel" torrent ??! Been looking for it. Well I've used http://www.torrentspy.com and http://www.mininova.org but that really isn't an issue due to my newsgroup access. Speaking of which someone posted Head Over Heels (Freddie Prinze Jr movie?) on my newsgroup but it's sort of like the full dvd image and maybe in german so I don't think that's a viable option. -
Spartan. This is a grim and gritty movie. It's about the investigation into a kidnapping of the daughter of a high-ranking US government official. It mixes politics and action. (Val Kilmer and Kristen Bell star and written by David Mamet) Army of Darkness. Don't watch this if you want to see a good movie. This is not a good movie. But this was not supposed to be a good movie. This was supposed to be funny and corny. Could be worst special effects ever as well. Great quotes as well. (Bruce Campbell with Sam Raimi directing) The Big Lebowski. What the hell is this movie about? Not sure. These guys piss on a slackers rug and he wants a new one. Starts with mistaken identity and a kidnapping scenario ensues. And there's a sex offender named Jesus. (Great acting by Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and John Turturro. It's made by the Coen brothers. Quality.) Ultraviolet. I saw this movie. Don't laugh at me. Unlike Army of Darkness this movie took it self waaaaaaaaaay too seriously. The CGI is nice to look at but the story and acting are outrageously terrible. So why would I recommend this movie? This movie is hilarious. In the same vein as Army of Darkness. I cried during this movie. Really. It was so bad from the acting to the dialog. The main villain actually says, "it's on." I wasn't the only one cracking up all my friends were and so was the guy sitting next to me. Good times. (Milla Jokovich) Clerks 2. You have to know what you're getting into when you see this movie. There is going to be explicit conversation about sex, drug references and even a donkey show. But I just love Kevin Smith's dialog. There are transformers jokes, bashes on Christianity, a big scene about racial slurs, a lord of the rings bashing, and umm pillowpants. The two main characters aren't great actors but they deliver their lines in a passable manner. The character of Elias steals this movie IMO. Beneath all the raunchy language and situations this is actually a sweet buddy story. (Rosario Dawson, the other actors are nobody of notoriety, but there are a few cameos). The Rundown. I'm not a huge fan of the Rock but this movie works for him. He must track down Sean William Scott in the Amazon. It's high on comedy and action. I like adventure movies and this movie captures that dynamic. (Sean William Scott, Rosario Dawson, Christopher Walken, The Rock) Sin City. There needs to be one comic film on here. Most people on here have most likely seen this movie. How could you not? It has a lot of star power. What I enjoyed was the visual style. Not many movies have such a strong artistic flair to them. Expect a lot of helpless women, strong male heros and nudity. ( Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Rosario Dawson, Jessica Alba and so on) Beerfest. This might not be most people's cup of tea but it's more of the raunchy comedy that you shouldn't watch with your parents material. Broken Lizard gets back on track after Club Dread. The opening scene is great, one of the lamest (yet funny) scenes ever is in the middle of this film. Oh and frogmatic. Das boot!!! (Broken Lizard cast) Avoid by all means: Elektra (no story at all), the Good Shepherd(slowest pacing and long as well), Pulse(I only watched this because of Kristen Bell and I still think I wasted my time and money) BTW, Joker every time I look at your avatar and signature I have this impulse to vomit and laugh at the same time. I loathe Paris Hilton with a passion.

Tech's men's tennis is nothing to brag about (ranked 46) but women's tennis won the NCAA tournament. So the men suck but the women don't.

Sorry for the delay. It wasn't number one on my list of priorities. The total vid size is approximately 180 MB so I split it up into four parts. http://rapidshare.com/files/33744704/Girls...1-26_.part1.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/33746823/Girls...1-26_.part2.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/33748901/Girls...1-26_.part3.rar http://rapidshare.com/files/33750092/Girls...1-26_.part4.rar And thanks for the pics Bailey_K

Hey, there's a preview video out for the Star Wars Clone Wars series. Decent at best. Could be interesting though. However, most people would rather watch a series about the original Star Wars. http://starwars.com/video/view/000478.html

Heh, Curt Schilling has an opinion about everything. And he'll say stuff that he shouldn't but I personally respect that he's honest. He's a player that I love to hate, especially when he's on the Red Sox.

I'll get around to that tomorrow. Which means Sunday. Man it's Sunday. I need to sleep now.

What does everybody think about the commissioner's stance on Barry Bonds breaking the home run record? Note: he doesn't have one. Bud Selig needs to grow some balls and deal with this issue. He has two options. He can either chastize Barry Bonds for performance enhancers. Or he can sit there and watch him hit the damn home run ball. That sounds like a hard job. I think I'll go watch this baseball player hit a home run and I'll get paid my salary for doing it. I don't really like the commissioner. He let that All Star Game end in a tie. He seems to be the switzerland of all commissioners. Take a side. He's going to get criticized for whatever course of action he takes. But inaction is just stupid and sadly it seems likely.

Well anyone who has noticed my last fifty posts or so realizes that I love drawing. I have never actually gotten into painting. I do it from time to time, generally when required in art class. I always viewed that there should be some sort of rough sketch before proceeding to the paint stage. Definining borders and all that jazz. But whatever floats your boat. I think I'll try to refine my painting skills in the coming months. I'd better because I have this project lined up in the general babe discussion thread.

And finally my art work: The Denial of St. Peter Baroque Period I had to analyze this painting for art history class so I'm trying to channel all that I remember about this. I found it interesting that the artist chose to juxtapose two separate scenes into one scene. The soldiers are gambling over Jesus' clothes and Peter is denying Jesus for the third time. One would say that denial isn't quite as bad as the role of the soldiers. There are three dice on the table to represent the three denials. The artist (who I can't remember) is saying that Peter's betrayal is as bad as the soldiers that led Jesus to his death. Or maybe that the denial led to Jesus' death. I also liked how the implied lines of vision led the viewer's eye to both the table and from Peter's face to his right and back to the table. I definitely admire the skill more than the composition. Hey, I did get something out of Art History (besides those A's).

Hopper was a photorealist so it makes sense that filmmakers would imitate his work. I too have a fond admiration for Nighthawks. It's just so lonely and it sort of makes me sad. I find the subject matter for photorealism more interesting that the realism aspect of it. But I am most definitely a realist and for the most part abhor abstract art.

There was this one episode of Cold Case where the serial killer was killing his victims and posing their dead bodies to resemble that portrait. I just thought that was interesting.
