I wondered that too. I assumed he was Muslim just given the breakdown of religion in Turkey. If he is Jewish though and she's celebrating the holiday I don't think it's necessarily alarming or that she'll convert or is being brainwashed into it. It's common for couples of different faiths to celebrate each other's faith and have multiple holiday celebrations.

I'm guessing the answer is no but any real chance that Adriana has a superbowl commercial for the coming superbowl? Not one that's related to VS (where she gets like 2 milliseconds of screen time). A different project /brand. I feel like if it were the case we would know about it but still wondering. I'm still annoyed by the Kia commercial they aired 5 years ago. Such a wasted opportunity IMO. You have the most gorgeous supermodel in the world in your commercial, maybe don't style her so terribly. It was underwhelming for me compared to a lot of her other looks! I thought she was drop dead gorgeous in the teleflora commercial though.

I'm glad Adriana is not leaving VS. I Think VS is a joke these days but at least it enables us to see more of Adriana. As it is right now I don't think Adriana would be that relevant without VS. Even with ABS. But as a fan of Adriana's I want to say that this whole thing was so unnecessary. She should have just NOT. Now she is kind of justifiably going to be called out as hypocritical. Because I think even though Adriana thinks VS means more to her than any other endeavor thst requires removal of clothing, no one else is going to understand that or care for that explanation. She gave us all a stroke that could have been avoided. Lesson learned though!

Ann, I actually think some of this is unfair. There are a lot of things that have been said about Adriana in the past 48 hours that I don't agree with but I wouldn't call unfair. Examples: - "she is saying this because she's getting old" - "she already made money from the industry so it's easy to say this now" - "vs wasn't going to renew her contract she's just flipping it" -"hypocrite" I disagree with all of those things but that logic in my opinion can still be rational or make sense. I think it's fundamentally unfair though to say that she's trying to say other women are below her or wrong because they don't share her view. It's not necessarily anti feminist or anti women for her to say she now feels like she doesn't want to be objected or take her clothes off. I mean most of us here are critical because we doubt it's really her choice. But without that speculation and looking just at her words...where did she say women who do that are lesser? She may not be close to Taylor but she is to Lais and Ale. They take their clothes off for modeling all the time. They didn't view her words as demeaning to them? Because she was speaking for herself. And what she thinks adds to societal pressure for women. I can see how someone might say "well if she's condemning the industry...she's condemning those apart of it". And there is some validity to that but my take is that it's still different from her thinking she's morally superior. Just my opinion.

Yikes!!! I didn't even read the article because it's page six and they make everyone look as bad as humanly possible. But that's a pretty damning evaluation. And seemingly true. She can still try to salvage this by just going with the vs is empowering routine. She'll have some haters that will mock her on every photo but she can still come out of it not completely scathed. Yeah pretty much. And it's always the fans who know the least about how the business works. They're trying to pitch this feud narrative. VS can be shady. But as if they're dumb enough to shade someone that worked for them for nearly 20 years with something petty like that. Please. To the first point, of course she can do whatever she wants. I don't get the sense that anyone that has been criticizing her relationship with Metin or saying that it's too soon to fall in love wants to try and ban her from being able to do so or is trying to slut shame her for doing so. It seems like the concern is about what pain is brought onto her by falling for the wrong type of guy so easily and so quickly, and then making decisions that impact her life negatively on the basis of it but seem to not impact the man she's dating in the same negative way. I could be wrong about how others have reacted on here in the past. This is just my sense. I agree with the second part. If she doesn't want to do nudity even if she has done nudity in the past. Good for her. I don't think it's necessary or smart to really post that announcement on instagram because as a lingerie model it seems kind of dumb and is inviting a lot of hate but if she feels empowered by it and feels strongly about posting it then ok sure, why not? The problem like you said was her lack of professionalism. I also think another problem is that she thinks that everyone should just assume that she meant nudity or she didn't think of it at all. Because the one word she never used in her post is "nude" or "nudity". The only description she gives for what prompted this movie or what she won't be doing is "taking off her clothes for an empty cause" and at the start she describes being asked to participate in "Sexy videos". Well, her entire career with VS revolves around taking sexy videos. That part does not really make a distinction between VS or the love advent like people are saying it's about. And agree with the "empty cause". Very subjective? Basically it gives the public the right to assume what they assumed her to mean (which is silly of her to allow). Most people would think that taking off your clothes to shoot lingerie for LOVE magazine is not different than doing it for VS. So like Souled-Out pointed out, if she isn't retiring I think there will be backlash. If she posts a picture in lingerie from VS, she's going to get tons of comments mocking her. And it won't matter that it's not from LOVE. I'm not saying she needs to care about this I'm just pointing out that it seems like she created a pretty bad situation for herself in terms of PR. Whichever way she goes, she looks bad. That part doesn't sit well with me because I think despite her lack of professionalism she obviously meant well and meant to help empower women by kind of saying "hey... I go through this too. F society." I think those on this board feel the biggest problem is that it is pretty difficult to see how this is a decision she truly wants and is not fueled by Metin.

It's for the same reason why he leaves comments about how he successfully changed her. From his point of view it's a good thing. He probably wants it to seem like he has full control over her and is capable of brain washing her. It's like an ego thing and he's a no name person compared to her. I know some will say we are assuming too much about Metin. But I encourage those that feel that way to just look through his Instagram posts and hers since she met him in June. There's obvious influence and leeching going on. I also will say that a lot of manipulative people historically have been those of a spiritual calling! I am a spiritual person myself and still I can say that those that are preachers or gurus or wrote books about faith and self confidence and self help. They are quite persuasive! I am not saying metin is a cult leader but Adriana is acting like she's in a cult.

I agree with this 100%. It's very weird that he does nothing except patrol his Instagram for comments all day. It's true that if what was being said was untrue then it wouldn't bother him but what's even more than that is that he's like waiting and monitoring. It's like he's getting so much validation from the comments praising him and acknowledging them as a couple but he is so fast to monitor. Creepy. Another thing I really don't like is that there are some comments left by Turkish people that are saying word for word "Good work Metin. You're teaching Adriana how to act right" or comments about how he's showing her how a woman should be. Get the fuck out of here! I'm so embarrassed for her and simultaneously worried.

I did not know about bieber rumors. But from my opinion those kinds of rumors even if people leave comments, she can dismiss them because it's kind of stupid? I mean it's not on her to address it even if the media gets carried away it's not HER doing. I feel a little different about this because she posted this statement. And yes she has poor english sometimes and maybe that explains poor communication on social media but it's her responsibility to clean this up because she posted something that can be interpreted in so many ways and this relates to her career? Right? If she is leaving VS or not leaving VS, either way! I feel that this has to be viewed a little differently than her responding to rumors vs. not. In my view it's not just rumors this time around she brought on a storm? Hope that makes sense.

He blocked me for not even making an offensive comment. I wrote "Why is Adriana going about in the worst way possible? At the very least you should look out for her" and he blocked me almost immediately. Oh well. Maybe we need to let this go. If she doesn't care even given all the commotion and chaos then what's the point in our caring? It's not even that she doesn't know because her fans have been leaving comments everywhere. Someone must have informed her, also she was blocking comments last night. I don't believe that after so many years in this industry she doesn't know how this must be playing in the media. Right? Only once concern I have is that this all seems pretty crazy and hopefully she is not in some kind of a destructive state.

I agree. I think that if adriana is good friends with the girls she still follows it doesn't mean she has reached out to tell them everything or anything like that. They might not even think she's referring to vs. Maybe she's not but her refusal to clear this up as soon as possible makes it seem like she doesn't care? It's confusing.

This does seem to be the prevailing theory from most people not on instagram. I find it hard to believe but in some ways it's also what makes the most sense. There is a slight chance but if that is the case and they're trying to push her out, this is the lamest move for her to make. Or at least her execution of the move is terrible. Why won't she address this? I know she has seen the comments because she was online deleting comments last night from her post (including two of mine) while Metin was busy liking every post on his page about him and adriana. I don't know I hope that she's ok. It seems like something is just very wrong. I know she's stubborn but callous?

He liked a comment someone wrote on one of his pictures. "You dodged a bullet when you dumped adriana early she's pathetic and that b**ch is wildly unstable ?" something like that. He deleted the comment but the instagram account I pasted maybe has the exact words/screen shot. Maybe it's not that big of a deal. He didn't write it himself it came off more like he was laughing at her. In my opinion though he didn't need to do that it's a bit petty. I don't know. Basically everyone is hating on her except for the support she's getting in instagram comments. All non models and non teenagers seem to be annoyed by her. I hope she cleans this up soon.
