Me too. I imagine their contracts have financial penalties, but I wonder if Marvel would enforce those. I also wonder if they would go a step further and someone could lose their job. But like you said, I don't want that to happen to anyone.

I saw Chadwick Boseman in an interview and it's funny to me to watch the Marvel actors be careful what they can say about upcoming movies so they don't get in trouble with Marvel. He was asked if he will be in both of the scheduled Avenger movies, and he said he is only allowed to say he is in the one this thread is about. The way he said it made me think there is a good chance he could be in the second one. I think around twice as many Marvel characters have been confirmed for the first movie, so there are likely more to come for the second.

I finished 3rd Season of Fargo. Two thoughts: - It's over. - Hopefully Noah will want to make another season.

The movie will end up as the highest grossing of the four in the DC Extended Universe (in the US). It's still too early to be sure where it will finish worldwide. Based on nothing but a guess, I have a feeling it won't end up making as much as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice worldwide.

Lucasfilm hired a directing pair, Lord and Miller, to direct the upcoming Han Solo movie. Lord and Miller are known for their comedic style of directing. After allowing them to direct the movie for a few months this year, Lucasfilm decided to parts ways with the pair in the middle of the filming because they did not like their comedic style of directing. Maybe I should have posted this in the laugh thread, because it's very funny to me.

That would be funny. It looks like his next/last movie will be the Paul Thomas Anderson film Phantom Thread, due out later this year.

Yeah, that too. Scorsese had to hunt him down and talk him into doing Gangs of New York. He was working as a cobbler when someone working for Scorsese tracked him down.

This is not my opinion, but what I have read and heard over the years from people who would know better than me. It is assumed that because he goes so intensely into his roles that he needs the break to recover. Also, he never felt like he had to work, so he could wait for something he thought would be worth doing.

I'm not sad because he had a great career, but i wanted to mention that Daniel Day-Lewis has said he will retire from acting. As a fan of movies and a fan of people who are great at what they do, I have always enjoyed watching his work.

I had not thought about it but Marvel does seem to be ready for that when the movie comes out. If they think a sequel is likely, it is usually announced around the time of the first one. Sometimes there is a reference in the credits too with something like "The Guardians (or whatever) will be back"
