BIO Walking the fine line between voyeurism and participation, Lina Scheynius photographs scenes from her daily life in an honest and casual manner. Her photographs of friends, lovers, flowers, and herself critique the systemic notions of the passive and objectified female as they portray fleeting moments in a visual diary that represents the very personal and the current societal climate. Images like Untitled (Diary) (2013) demonstrate a distinct sexual connotation and purposely dignified nudity that conveys the female gaze.
