    Andy was born in Havana, Cuba on April , 12 1956 with a dead conjoined twin on his left shoulder that was removed. His family moved to Miami after the Bay of Pigs Invasion when he was 5. After attending Florida International University, he moved to California and started acting in small roles. His first solid supporting role was in "The Mean Season" in 1985. Febuary of 1944 he helped create the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals. In 1947 he testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee regarding fellow actors that he believed were communists. After this he was called The Conspirator and many refused to work him. He passed away of lung cancer on June 8, 1969 in Santa Monica, California.
