Sara Sampaio Gets Candid About The Modeling Industry For Net-A-Porter

Being a supermodel seems like an ultra glamorous job. Traveling the world, mingling with celebrities and working with prestigious brands. In the latest issue of Net-A-Porter Victoria’s Secret Angel Sara Sampaio opened up about her feelings regarding mistreatment of models working in today’s industry and revealed that sometimes her job is anything but glamorous.

Sporting curly hair, red lips and Gucci workout gear (how we all work out, right?) Sampaio shows off her killer curves and gets real about the modeling industry. Recently the model got candid about her experience at Lui Magazine where there was a signed no-nudity contract, but on the day of the shoot the photographers and staff repeatedly insisted she pose nude. In her interview with Net-A-Porter, Sampaio stated: “Models are expected to show up on set, just be pretty, do our job and not say a word. When we do open our mouths, we’re branded as difficult, opinionated, troublemakers; we are told that we don’t know what we are talking about.”  Lui Magazine later released nude images from the photoshoot, for which Sampaio felt furious and violated. Since the incident, the model has told her story in hopes other models have the strength to speak up about the injustices they face in the industry.
