If a picture is worth a thousand words, well, Cannes might have just taken all the words right out of our mouths! The french film festival draws stars from across the globe to various film premieres and charity events, with the fashion put on display. Every year it seems like the looks get more and more extravagant, turning what once started as a film festival into a fashion runway. Here are three trends we saw throughout Cannes Film Festival red carpets.
Deep Colors Dominating
Deep vampy looks and colors dominated the Cannes Film Premiere red carpets. A homage to fall fashion looks at the beginning of summer has been the trend all season long, and we can’t say we are upset about it. Izabel Goulart is pictured above wearing Valentino.
A Little Poof Never Hurt Nobody
All over the Cannes red carpet we saw poofy dress after poofy dress! Elsa Hosk sported the trend on her sleeves in a sparkly Redemption mini dress at the AMFAR gala. But Elsa wasn’t the only one sporting the trend! Models Kendall Jenner, Coco Rocha and singer Dua Lipa all rocked the trend.
Throwing It Back
Like her character in Quinton Tarantino’s new film ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ Margot Robbie channeled 1960’s Hollywood glam at the movie premiere in Cannes. The actress even emulated icon Sharon Tate’s braided hairstyle at a later photo call paying homage to the late actress.
