I feel that VS keeps pushing her in hopes of her becoming a prominent or even dare I say-'historic' angel, but she never seems to get closer for some reason.

Give her a little time.

Although she has been modeling for years, her "real" career just began 2 years ago.

And since then she has improved really quick and now she does a lot of high fashion work.

However, it's way too early to claim that she will never reach the level of a "historic" model.

Basically the media, Like cherrybomb said, people who follow VS and some who follow fashion know her, but as far as reglar day people who come across models like adriana, ale, miranda, Giselle, through social networks and media things, they don't know her.

But...I wanted to know the names of professionals who are important in the high fashion world.

I don't mind "regular day people", because such statements are completely useless since we just know a few people and not the whole world. It's beyond our ken.

Additionally, being big in high fashion doesn't necessarily mean that you're famous among "regular day people".

It's like with artists. They are huge in the art scene and maybe even one of the greatest people of the century, but they're not known among normal people.

Noooooo I don't believe so. If I did I meant mainstream, I am not one not judge HF because I don't follow it, I don't like, and Idgaf about it. And its rare I like the models that do it. And I know candice has to be known some way in the HF world after she lost all that weight and did all that work for it.

Hey. Just joined this amazing site. Candice is the only woman to wow me in the past 3 years. Clearly the most beautiful woman in the world (imo) and i like the fact that she's not a regular name on lips of every regular person. I live in the uk and starting late last year, Miranda started appearing in newspapers and now everyone is on the bandwagon. My male friends also don't know her.

She's amazing, really beautiful, and when you enter into the VS website you almost only see her pictures, but those people, that really don't care about fashion or VS, don't know her.

VS gives her a big exposition , but like Cherrybomb said before, i believe that her personality doesn't help her too much. And i'm not talking about her real personality, the one that only her friends and family knows. I'm talking about attitude, determination and confidence on the runway and in the interviews... i think that she doesn't show it too much, maybe because she might be a little bit shy.... i really don't know. The truth is that in my belief people love to see this kind of stuff and the media really searchs for that, for one person that makes the runway and the interviews one big and true show.

In our days she's one of the most beautiful models and i think that she's naturally sexy and maybe one day she can be also historic and recognized all over the world.

I understand what you guys say about attitude. I think Candice is reserved and maybe that doesn't help her. But... people change when they get older. Or maybe she never got the chance to show more. I mean, Adriana is reaaaally out there, she's outspoken, she got that kinda "crazy-funny" way and I'm sure that helped her. But Alessandra is more reserved, specially when she was younger and look how big she is now. Like Melocoton said, give Candice some time. I think her big "boom" happened these past 2 years, so... it's not fair to expect her to be perfect in 2 years. She is doing a great job! She's got a looong way to go, and I really believe in her.

I dislike these model "fame games" but why is a model who has virtually only been famous in the real world (not on fashion blogs) since about (2010/2011, or whenever her "weight" scandal broke out...) being compared to models who have been working since the late 90s/early 00s? That's not fair to her at all. That's not even her era.... and Candice for being a new model is doing quite well I'd say.

1. Those lists are based on activity and those two are older and those lists don't mean a thing honestly I never thought they did. Even when adriana was around candice age and she was voted number 1 and was in the top 10 for about 3 years, I still didn't think anything of that list. Idk about ale. Its nice for them to be on that list but I can care less about the actual rank. I'm fine with adriana and ale being on 70 whatever. you know that list don't mean anything because even those people who are on top of candice and adriana aren't any more desirable than them imo. I mean even CHANEL IMAN was on top of adriana and NICKI MINAJ was on top of candice AND adriana But beauty is subjective so it really doesn't matter either way it goes. Even on the ask page there were a number of people who commented and thought that candice was ranked to high.... I don't have an opinion about that because idc but it just shows you that everybody is different.

Seriously it is REALLY irritating when you start to compare the models over subject shit Like beauty and stuff like that as if its suppose to prove something. Everyone is different and it always depends on preferences when it comes to those subjects. And where were all of you that are comparing them when there was a poll between adriana and candice where adriana won by over 10 votes. Granted, the question was who was prettier, but obviously you all are candice fans you would have voted for candice anyway. That was the time to compare candice and adriana. Unless you was on there and you did vote and adriana still won then......

You can also believe what you want but in the new ads posted above with candice, ale, and erin. You suprsingly don't see candice that much any way. If she really had so much influence on the actual product and is above ale and some sort of way that you said in number 2. I think they would have used her more in the commercial than they did ale. And I know they would have because they used alot of candice in that prague angel commerical. But they didn't in this one.

Overrall, Candice is still not above ale or Adriana imo. Idk now that could be due to her being younger or whatever and maybe she does need to grow up but as of now she is no better than them. but there are certain factors she doesn't have one majorly being is her attitude. Its holding her back and until its gets better its going to continue to hold her back, because being an angel during adriana, ale, and gisele's time meant not only being beautiful but having the right attitude. And for me thats what separate candice and the other newer angels from ones like ale and adriana. They don't have it all that like the older angels did and all that the older angels did have is what made them that popular today and the reason why they have soo many people that know of them and are fans of them, the reasons why they trend all the time on twitter, the reasons why the get so many followers on twitter, hell they reasons why adriana and gisele was mentioned in a kanye song. Thats the type of popularity and recognition i'm talking about.

:shock: the city of god!!!!! I saw a movie on that place and FELL IN LOVE. I want to go there so BAD. Ana Beatriz is from there also. I'm jealous now.

As far as attitude goes. I'm tired of explaining it just candice needs to put some pep in her step, because seriously if she did she REALLY could be up there with gisele and adriana I think. I feel like she is a little uptight and focuses on how she looks in others eyes too much. Its to the point where people think she is fake. NOW I may think she is a little blah but I really don't think she is fake. I think for some reason she just accidentally comes off that way. But i'm not buying the "shy" stuff either though. I just think she really cares about how she looks in the viewers eyes. Which can be a good thing but gets annoying after watching it video after video.
