Of course, the new "progressives" contribute to the rise of populisms. They start to tick (too) many boxes:

- they forge a newspeak

- they deny biology (WTF?), like gender, etc. :ermm:

- they just label you a xxx-ist, but they rarely argue with facts

- they promote conspiracy theories (like the patriarchy or da russssians)

This summer is particylarly wild.      It's like this is their new mantra:

People let her say all this BS, because she's hot... Wait, isn't that what they call a "privilege"?

Spoiler

Maybe, one day she'll apologize for all her privileges like Rosanna Arquette....

She acts like a little girl!

She's so afraid to debate and/or have a discussion with people that have opposing views. Look at how she wiggles her way out of those offers. :nicole:

Woke California at it again.

SF Board of Supervisors sanitizes language of criminal justice system

The words “felon,” “offender,” “convict,” “addict” and “juvenile delinquent” would be part of the past in official San Francisco parlance under new “person first” language guidelines adopted by the Board of Supervisors.

Going forward, what was once called a convicted felon or an offender released from jail will be a “formerly incarcerated person,” or a “justice-involved” person or simply a “returning resident.”

Parolees and people on criminal probation will be referred to as a “person on parole,” or “person under supervision.”

A juvenile “delinquent” will become a “young person with justice system involvement,” or a “young person impacted by the juvenile justice system.”

And drug addicts or substance abusers will become “a person with a history of substance use.”

BTW, instead of all this, California should treat its rodent infestations, before a new plague outbreak starts there (because if it does, in our connected world, it would spread to the world in a couple of weeks at best).

I saw that this morning. It is shite and we all know it!

This is so timely. Sad that we, as a people, have fucked up so bad that this is even more relevant!

France, which is hosting the G7 summit in Biarritz, was initially hoping to make social media giants sign a so-called “Charter for an Open, Free, and Safe Internet” on Friday, according to the official program.

Do as we say, not as we do. So tired of these hypocritical assholes telling us what we can do when they do the things they tell us not to do. Fuck off!

Indeed! I agree with him more the these new liberal idiots out there.

I call myself a liberal, but not by today’s standards. I stand with George Carlin’s and Robin Williams’s version.

The EU is a technostructure full of bureaucrats who think that their meaningless paperwork is some kind of philosopher's stone. These guys don't like free speech.  In fact, they only like free speech when people say exactly what they think... this is a soft form of this:

Anyway, I don't care about the EU.

As for France, we are 67 million people, and though we like to disagree with each other a lot, free speech is one of our key values. That's what the people think. Now, the politicians, well that's another story... their "safe" re-election might be the main thing they care about these days.:smoker:
