September 10, 201410 yr Those polas are so stunning. What the hell happened with her SI pics???The problem with Valerie is her look isn't suited for SI. Her coloring gets washed out very easily in natural light. She also has a unique face which isn't always the best thing for commerical fashion modeling. She has the body for is but not the face. I feel her and begee are just too editorial and should stick to high fashion. The problem with SI is it's very political. There are so many girls we want to get in there but don't or girls we expected more from because they don't know how to shoot Hugh fashion types. My thing is they should use ecommerce girls because if they can look sexy in crappy lit studios with minimal airbrushing they can do anything. So you think that the photographers cannot work with HF models?
September 11, 201410 yr Let's talk for a minute about this Brooklyn Cyclones event some of the SI girls were at recently (8/22): From left to right: Adaora, Ariel, Jess Perez, Hannah D, Gigi, Hannah F, Lily, and Chanel Who's idea was it to have girls who the magazine no longer features appear at an event alongside rookies (essentially the girl's who stole their jobs)? Does SI have any intention on working with Adaora and Jess again in the future and that's why they invited them to the event or is their presence next to the newbies just supposed to be a sort-of "slap-in-the-face" to them? I'm not a marketing or business or anything of the sort major, but I still honestly can't make any sense out of the line up for this event and, to whoever picked it, what the hell was going through their mind at the time. Edit: I'm also not a religious follower of all things SI, but I never recall them inviting girls who weren't featured in their most recent magazine being invited to events before...

September 11, 201410 yr Ariel went to the 2011 Sportsman of the Year functions with Chrissy in December of 2011, 2 years after her up-til-then sole appearance in the issue. She had already shot in Panama and Florida for her pix that year of course, but her appearance with Chrissy was the first indication that she would be back in the issue.
