You see how Warren threw Faye under the bus??? Well, I haven't seen it so I can't say anything. I haven't seen Moonlight either... Or pretty much any of this year's nominees for anything actually Yes!! "I don't want to be the one who fucks this up... You do it"

February 27, 20178 yr The Shawshank Redemption - not an Oscar-winning movie. Suicide Squad - Oscar-winning movie.
February 27, 20178 yr The mix-up was pretty brutal, but at least the producers of La La Land didn't make a big song and dance about it.

Kimmel said there was suppose to be one more joke involving Damon (he was allegedly backstage ready for it) but bc of the mix up there wasn't enough time. I am a bit skeptical bc during but the whole incident the camera did show Damon in the audience. Unless he cloned himself there was no way he could have been in 2 places at the same time. 23 minutes ago, Michael* said: The mix-up was pretty brutal, but at least the producers of La La Land didn't make a big song and dance about it. February 28, 20178 yr I thought it was awful that the situation was allowed to go so far that people had already given their personal thank you speeches as winners even though they had in actuality lost. Someone should have interrupted before the “La La Land” people had even gotten on stage. There are those who believe that people in Hollywood are involved in satanic humiliation rituals and this one will definitely end up on the list.
February 28, 20178 yr I'm thinking a movie about the Oscars screw-up eventually gets made, itself winning Best Picture in about ten years' time.
January 23, 20187 yr Nominations announced. Films with multiple nominations: 13 - The Shape of Water 8 - Dunkirk 7 - Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri 6 - Darkest Hour Phantom Thread 5 - Lady Bird Blade Runner 2049 4 - Get Out Mudbound Call Me By Your Name Star Wars: The Last Jedi 3 - I, Tonya Baby Driver 2 - The Post Coco Beauty and The Beast Victoria & Abdul
January 23, 20187 yr After a quick glance at the nominees, it seems likely there will be a number of first time winners this year. Frances McDormand is the most obvious exception I noticed. I have seen five of the best picture nominees and I'm not sure I will see any more. It's rare for me to see all the Best Picture nominees. I was a little surprised that Steven Spielberg and Martin McDonagh were left out of the Best Director category. There are only five places available, so I guess someone if always left out. I can't say I would remove anyone nominated to put them in.
January 25, 20187 yr For no good reason, my initial guesses of the winners (which no one is asking for ): The Shape of Water Guillermo del Toro Gary Oldman Frances McDormand Sam Rockwell Allison Janney Coco I would need a longer look to guess other categories.

August 9, 20186 yr The Academy has added a new award for Best Popular Film. I guess they were tired of hearing people complain about the Best Picture winner being a movie no one saw, so they added an award for movies people did see.
