DanniCullen Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Okay, so I made this topic because I love Fashion Week. And I thought this would be a good place to discuss it. (The models, designers, clothes, or just general information about it.) But, Yeah, so New York Fashion Week ended last night. (It started on the 7th) And today London Fashion Week just launched. I'm so excited! I've already seen some images and stuff from the Bora Asku show. Paris FW starts on the 27th. & Milan FW starts on the 21st. Even though I'm British, I should love London FW the most. But for me, Paris is always the best. I guess this can also be kind of like a Model ID section too. For models who've done Fashion Week? I don't know. The topic might not even be popular, but oh well. Quote

I'm looking forward to Christopher Kane, Acne, Erdem and Marios Schwab at LFW, but it's nothing compared to Paris and Milan! Quote

Actually, I thought the casting in NY this season was very unpredictable which is not a bad thing at all. Though there were some bad collections, well let me share my Top 3 of bad collections in New York: 1. Michael Kors :x - These brown/ sandy colours and very weird shaped outfits. Man! 2. Anna Sui - The make-up & hair was very pretty but the clothes? Like a little girl made them. 3. Rag & Bone - I usually like their collections but this time it was pretty ridiculous. Not wearable at all and some pieces were just ugly. (I didn't like Derek Lam, too.) My favorite collections of NY: Calvin Klein Prabal Gurung Oscar de la Renta 3.1 Phillip Lim Cushnie et Ochs (+ Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, Marchesa & Marc Jacobs) Quote

I'm generally a fan of her free, hippie ways in most of her collections, but this season she was just all over the place. Too Betsey Johnson for me, and I'm not a big fan of Betsey. :x Also, I'd add that Herve Leger was pretty bad this season. I'm usually a fan of their stuff, but this season ... I think it was the fugly boots at the show. And BCBG was another one that was just... bad. And weird. And for as much as I loved Donna Karan, DKNY wasn't great either. I have a feeling those dresses with the sheer mesh skirt (seen at Marios Schwab, Prabal Gurung, Julien McDonald etc.) are the latest craze. What do you guys think about LFW so far? Quote

Anyway, is it just me or was the collection at Gucci pretty ugly?
