February 26, 20196 yr The scrolling is better today but I don't know if it's because I'm now on my phone instead of my PC. As long as there's not any videos the pages are loading ok.
February 26, 20196 yr For me scrolling is still bad (on PC). When you scroll up, page keeps jumping downwards as it loads up. Really annoying.

Also, if you guys get this lazy loading working nicely, could we apply it to IG embeds? IG embeds have always caused this jumping effect for me. example_720.mov 53.75 MB · 8 downloads i'm running macOS High Sierra (version 10.13.6), using Safari (12.0.1) Here is the response from the developers. Hello, Lazy loading is meant to load items as you are reading and scrolling normally, in this case of the video example, he is scrolling so fast, that we would recommend you disable lazy loading, as there is nothing that will keep up wiht scrolling that fast but loading all items.
February 26, 20196 yr If I just want to reply/post in a topic and click on the "last page"-link in the FFM-Index, I get redirected to the top of the topics last page, which means e.g. that in a topic with 20 replies on the last page I would have to scroll all the way to the bottom and wait for the loading for each reply to catch up. Depending on content count, size and replies it is jumpy in some cases. I want so suggest an "additional link" maybe called "Reply", next to the "last page" link. Pressing that link would load the editor window right away (expanded) and every reply above the editor would not to have be loaded. For example: this link leads me right away to the post I did without loading the other replies unless I start scrolling through the page. https://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/58649-maddie-teeuws/?do=findComment&comment=4777332 For a redirection to the editor I would suggest something like this: (the link can be whatever, this is just an example) https://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/58649-maddie-teeuws/?do=expandEditor

February 26, 20196 yr I've mentioned this before without response, but I've been having this issue for ages where if a popup window is opened I loosed the ability to scroll. Here's a quick video to show the issue: issue.mp4 so you can see I can scroll fine on the page and in edit post mode, but as soon as I used the cancel window and I try to scroll it doesn't work. This happens with literally every single popup on the site. Has no one else experienced this?
February 26, 20196 yr I just realized that the jumping occurs when you open a link to a post that is relatively far down on a page, meaning up to 19 replies come before the post. e.g. https://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/32918-mia-hessner-sovensky/?do=findComment&comment=4777867, as soon as you start scrolling upwards (replies above aren't loaded yet) the replies will start loading but in reverse order: top images/rows firs to bottom images last, of reply. So scrolling upwards loading order works against your scrolling direction instead of with it which leads to jumping. I don't think it is possible the loading behavior can be adjusted to scrolling direction, or is it? (loading last image/rows first when scrolling upwards) Edited February 26, 20196 yr by Charlie's Alter Ego

I'm only using 2 extensions but i'll disable them and check, but I don't think so. I've experienced it on multiple browsers without extensions. edit: just tested with disabled extensions, and still get the issue.

Let me talk to the ad people to fix it, they said they fixed it a while back.

March 1, 20196 yr @Howaboutlalala @specdude @Grievous @Kane So after speaking to some people we were able to track down the setting for the LazyLoad. Before the content would be loaded *just* off your screen (50px) which on slower connections it was not enough. I have modified it to 900px (that is ~3 rows of thumbnails). Hopefully that is a good balance between preloading and scrolling. Can you please test it out and let me know. It will not solve the issue if you are *flying* through the thread but it should help if you are browsing normally. Let me know and we can continue to adjust. Thanks

March 2, 20196 yr Scrolling up is still very bad. In Jennifer Lawrence thread it's impossible to not be annoyed by constant page jumping around while it's loading stuff. I wouldn't mind the page loading as I scroll if the page wasn't jumping down as I scroll up.
