August 22, 20231 yr I'm actually not really a feminist I have to admit. I can only speak for myself what I want. And like I said I'm pretty confident with my life.

Good for you! I want good people to be confident in their lives. I'm just sad to see how people have a twisted vision of history sometimes
August 22, 20231 yr You're a good person, I never doubted that. I really don't get why history is so twisted in the general public. Especially regarding the men/women relationships. Another theme that's madly twisted on the Internet is the history of Russia between 1917 and 1990. This country is fascinating, but people don't realize how Marxism-Leninism crippled this nation
August 22, 20231 yr I know less stuff about China, but Communism also crippled this beautiful country. The last emperor is a very interesting movie about China.

It's sometimes hard to see the truth to the wall of lies especially in the medias. I mean even back in school it depends on the teacher if we really learned something or not and how we learned something or not or if we left the building with lots of bullshit in our childishly suggestible heads. To become an intelligent, independent individual depends on so many things, and I don't think we live in a good era to expect any miracles here.

Then, I went to public libraries and read tons of history books (and physics ). But IMHO the best way to check a viewpoint is to hear what the other side has to say.

My grandpa was a child during war. He suffered under the nazis (like his whole family) but he never fight one nor was he able to protect his mom and sisters against "the even more cruel russian soldiers". His words. Not mine.

Was he from Poland? Yes, the Russians are brutal and ruthless. The Nazi–Soviet Pact is a big factor that allowed the war to start, because Hitler knew how dangerous the Russians can be (the country is hard to invade and Russian leaders never cared about their human losses). He thought he would buy time before invading them. In the end, Operation Barbarossa was too precipitated anyway (Hitler's generals were better than him, he should've listened to them). --- Anyway, your grandpa's instincts was to protect his sisters and mother (even if apparently he couldn't). I won't discuss if it's natured or nurtured, but, in any case, society knew that risking one's life to protect others has great value.
August 23, 20231 yr ^ One could argue that maybe some women wanted to risk their lives and go to war. Why not, but I've never heard any woman say that. If you hear women today (in the time of feminism and "ekwality"), they have contempt for a man that can't be a protector (and provider). None of them want to be the protector (some are big providers, but they don't share it with their man). And men still think it's their prerogative (and get contempt for that, even if it's a demand from their counterparts). So, the question is this: is this new woke society a balanced deal between men and women? I don't think so. (BTW, I'm not morally judging anyone, just stating what I see and understand from it)
