October 16, 20195 yr I finished one of Mitch's albums. Mixed feelings about it- found it funny at times, other times it made my head spin/hurt with the lack of logic. Maybe I'm just not a one-liner sort of guy or I need more "practice". He's supposed to one of the greatest one-liner comics ever.

I never like when a dude criticize my country (whether he's right or wrong, I don't care). Then, the question of unemployment in Western countries is very tricky because there has only been two models in the past decades: unemployment or working poor. Both models are crappy, and there is a big force that tends to confine our countries in this conundrum: low wages in China, India and SE Asia, also low environmental standards. China's wage: 1$ per hour. France's wage: > 12$ per hour. In a world with planes, boats, cars and the internet, that's not easy to bear. There are a couple of ways to "try" to escape the conundrum (or at least limit the pressure): a) being the country that has the main reserve currency (aka the USA) - so it's easier for the orange guy b) being innovative c) tariffs on countries with low social/environmental standards (but that's seen as "not nice" by the media, there can be backlashes and it means that some good will be more expensive for the consumers) d) having a lot of natural ressources (that's Norway, with oil basically) e) having a niche market or an unrivaled industry (that's Switzerland with banking)

My take was she asked a very nuanced question and got a sarcastic Trump answer.
