I feel the same. As a result of loosening too soon, I am expecting another surge in infections. I don't think this is limited to the US, I think you will see the same in some European countries. My thoughts are based on the struggles of countries who have done the best job controlling the spread in their countries. They are running into problems when they loosen and they are in a better position to react than European countries and the US.
April 16, 20205 yr The virus is constantly increasing in NY/NJ, it's just that the growth rate has slowed .. ("a little") in NYC. The numbers for my county/towns are constantly increasing. The noise appears to be from people/politicians that aren't near the various epicenters and want to go back to work.

Our Governor is supposed to give us an update tomorrow sometime about where my state rests. I expect that he’ll loosen the quarantine to up to 50 people gathered. Come on US, prove I’m wrong! The shut down of the economy has very bad implications too; supply chain disruption, access to essentials, suicides, starvation, chaos, and civil unrest. Probably left out a few.
April 17, 20205 yr The countries (or regions within countries without national support) which will have the most success opening up are the countries with the strongest systems in place, for testing etc. In many cases, these will be the same countries which had success dealing with the virus as it began. The countries which started to have cases later will have the advantage of seeing what works and doesn't work in the countries that will try to open up first.

I agree that it's far more widespread in the country and worldwide than previously thought. My feeling is that most people are asymptomatic or have mild symptoms.
