Maybe because of the stupid reason that she is almost 25? Maybe because of stupid reason number 2-being beautiful and healthy not ugly and scary skinny? Or number 3-she is Ralph Lauren's favourite model and because of that maybe she has special kind of contract with Lauren?

It happens to the best of them. Val is probaly the most facially beautiful model working today, but her career has run its course. And as an aside, I'm glad that Anja Rubik, who is similar to Val in many respects, continues to thrive--she's got more edge.

I think the "ugly" model craze is over (Coco Rocha's popularity notwithstanding). Everyone is shitting in their pants over Catherine McNeil, who is womanly, sensual and conventionally pretty. She's ushering in a new wave of models.

Is it wierd I don't like her? Everyone thinks she's so beautiful, and it almost pisses me off I don't see it. *shrugs* Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

I really dont understand Coco's popularity. That woman has the worst face and it gets even worse when she uses her signature "pissed off" look on the runway and ends up looking like an angry chimp. I dont know why fashion companies take these models, I just fail to see the logic in hiring someone like Coco over Valentina.

Valentina is simply stunning, its a pity that the modeling world is so short lived.
