Crackberry
I like smells like teen spirit but I don't think it's the 2nd greatest indie song ever.i think it's impact probably counted for a large part of it's placement.
NvrEnough
Mostly agree. Lots of songs from the same bands though. I would definately put the Smiths above Nirvana.
NvrEnough
Any artist that brings a genre into the limelight tends to get more credit than the originators. Its a real shame but its the truth. Not to take away from the fact that anyone or any group that promotes the genre should get credit but if your looking for a list fo the greats it should be based on the music not the contribution. Michael*
No White Stripes? This saddens me. Nice to see Pulp in there though, they were the first band I ever saw live.
Crackberry
Definitely in need of some White Stripes.I guess with only 50 places & the list with no time limit.AND - that isn't the best arctic monkeys song.It just had the biggest impact.so there's another example of an impact song NvrEnough. NvrEnough
I can't be the one to classify a band as indie or not but if your going to include Blur, The Verve, and Oasis, I thing that there is no better anthem song than "Hey Man Nice Shot" by Filter. TheBaronOfFratton
No Blue Monday - the biggest selling 12" of all time??? Infact no New Order at all, or Happy Mondays (the first band I saw live). That whole MADchester scene is totally under-represented...But good to see The Smiths and Stone Roses so high up.
